Hello everyone! I've been reading these boards non-stop for a week now and I've learned so much. Thank you all!
I just recently order the PSF treatment sample pack with Pumpkin Enzyme Peel , Emergen-C Repair Serum , O2 Rescue Serum. I ordered it mainly for the vit c serum. I've never used it before and wanted to test it out. I really had no interest in the O2 serum, to be honest it sounded a little silly to me (oxygen in a bottle??). Well, I was about to head of to bed when the little O2 bottle fell out of my medicine cabinet. I picked it up and without thinking just slathered a tiny bit on my face.
Well as I was brushing my teeth this morning I looked at my reflection in the mirror and was shocked. My skin looked great. I've always had 3 or 4 red bumps on my face and they were gone! There was absolutely no redness anywhere on my face!
I still don't understand how this stuff works but I love it.

Hi Caligirl,

Welcome! I'm new to the board too. All of these great reviews for PSF....they're all true for me! I am nuts about their pumpkin mask, green tea cleanser and vitamin C serum. Just tried the retinol 1% last night and so far I like it, especially how easily it glides on like a light lotion.

I just wish I knew the best way to use my O2 sample. Should I put it on bare skin before all others, even toner? should I use it after the peel or under the retinol or over the vitamin C? Maybe the owner will join us with more input.

The PSF web site is very informative. It will tell you when you use the O2 serum - further, if you go to the top menu of this forum and do a search, you will find TONS of posts regarding the O2. Welcome to you both.

Thanks Candy,

I took a quick peek at the PSF website. You are right, there is some great info with charts about the O2 serum and how it works. Here's what it says about application:

Apply to freshly cleansed, dry skin once daily. Allow product to dry completely, then reapply a second time for total saturation.

I am assuming this means put it on before the firming facial toner.

I put it on after cleansing and before any other product. My daytime use is O2 spray - 20% C serum - O2 spray(it quickly calms any stinging from the C), then follow with the rest of my slathering Laughing

Nighttime - after cleansing, O2 spray - Retinol .5 - O2 spray.

If you do a search on this forum you will find TONS of posts. I highly recommend the O2 - just wondering if I can start buying it in the industrial size!!

Thanks for listing your regime. I have the vitamin c and the retinol 1%. The sample is a bit watery but when I can afford the spray I'm going to buy it and follow what you do.

So it's definitely for use before toner then?

Eek! I've been using my sample after toner. Mind you, it still seems to do something good (not quite sure what exactly, but it just kind of looks great Very Happy ) to my skin that way.

Will try it before toner next time I use it.

Major - As I understand it it is to be used to aid in the following products to be better absorbed. I could be wrong (more often than not Confused ) but, I'm pretty sure. I think at any point it's effective, I suppose it's just a matter of how much more effective at what point!

I too love O2 serum. I have light skin that can be prone to redness. The O2 serum is really healing and has really helped with this.
Also it is extremely effective after Epidermix or a glycolic peel. I am almost rid of all of my fine line using this combo (and I'm 50).
I'm on my third bottle and was once out for about 3 weeks and saw the difference in redness.

Candy - I do sometimes get confused as to the order of things. Doesn't take much to befuddle me! Laughing

sharky - I'll definitely try it after my next EpidermX treatment this week and see what happens. That's a great idea.

I completely disagree. When it says to apply to freshly cleansed/dried skin, I interpret that to me cleansed AND toned skin. To me, if you applied the O2 serum BEFORE your toner, then the toner is going wipe it away, which would seem like a complete waste of product....

The way I’ve been using my O2 serum is: cleanse and/or exfoliate (when necessary), then tone. Apply O2 serum, then Vit-C serum or Cps, then follow with another spritz of O2 serum.

But I’m going to PM Darren with a link to this thread so he can settle the matter for us once and for all!

As I earlier stated I wasn't sure either about the order. I'm still VERY confused as to what goes on when, definitely a work in progress for me.

I only use my O2 serum at night. I put two layers on immediately after i wash my face then wait till it completely absorbs and then follow with retinol product. My skin has never look this good Surprised

Hi guys,
Carrie PM'd me & asked me to check in on this thread & advise on the use/application of the O2 Serum. WildCat is right about applying it twice. Yu can get away with a singl application, but it penetrates much more deeply if applied twice. Also, Carrie was dead-on right about "Sandwiching" your other actives in between layers of the O2 Serum. The first application preps the skin to accept the following active, then the second layer "pushes" the other active deeper into the skin. I'm avoiding the scientific explanation of this on purpose - because it an get somewhat confusing (even at times to me).
I hope that answered your questions. I use both methods of application, depending on what else I'm putting on my face. I would apply it after th etoner, however, as it is a treatment. We'll take another look at what we have on the website & see if we can come up with a better description of it's use. Thanks for bringing it up!

Well then - I suppose I'm not "wasting" my product as I don't use a toner. Haven't found one yet that doesn't add to my dryness. Thanks for taking time out to post Darren.

Then I definitely recommend trying the PSF firming toner. It's great at keeping the skin hydrated! Very Happy

so glad that I wasn't the only one that wasn't sure when to apply! was putting it on after Carrie's ACV toner though (since I was told toner is supposed to remove any cleanser or make up that might still be on the skin after washing) so it looks like I should be all good. Very Happy
Sorry if this has been asked before...I know there is a lot of info on the O2 serum out there but I have limited time to search so......I ordered two bottles of O2 serum, one for the SO and one for myself. Here is the problem/question:
My SO does not understand how it is an oxygen serum. He says that for oxygen to be in a liquid form it would have to be extremely cold and the bottle would be freezing. I tried to explain that the oxygen is attached to another chemical so that it can be delivered to the skin. Now I am not good at explaining science...well, because I am a business chica! not a scientist. So can someone help me explain the science behind it? and I showed him what PSF has on the website and he still questioned it. Help!! Sad

I absolutely love the O2 serum. It simply makes my skin feel "happy" after cleansing. It would be nice if a larger size were available!!
