I'm not really thrilled with any mascara I seem to find lately.
I wonder if a lash primer will boost any mascara into helping make my lashes longer and lovelier.
Do you use a lash primer that you like? Which one?
Thanks, BF |

I use Ardell Lash Growth Accelerator as a primer everyday because it helps hold the curl in my lashes, but it won't do much in terms of enhancing the appearance of your lashes.
Shiseido's Mascara Base gets raves (check out the reviews on MUA). It does give a lot of thickness and some length, and waterproofs your mascara, but I didn't care for the clumpy look it gave me. Maybe my lashes aren't the right kind to use a base (fine and skimpy)? Sorry that didn't help much. I've heard that Tweezerman's Fast Lash is also a nice primer, though a bit messy due to the fibers. |

I've used quite a few and yeah, Shiseido Base is my HG. A lot depends on what you're looking for ....
Shiseido Base - Light gray color, HOLDS a curl, even for Asian lashes.
Shu Uemura lash repair - clear gel, love the tiny wand and it "stiffens" lashes a little to help hold a curl.
Clinique and Lancome - White, fibers for extension, conditioning - but too heavy and my lashes fall.
That's all I can remember now. |

Shiseido is my HG as well! Mainly because my Asian lashes refuse to curl if my life depended on it and this is the only thing that makes them curl. It is decent with volume and length, but not outstanding. It is VERY difficult to take off. Dermalogica Precleanse and any OCM seems to be the only possible method of taking it off. |

I've used Clinque's Lash Primer for years. Its really good, but I've never tried any other ones. |

I've never had any success with any of them...I find the clear ones don't do much and the opaque ones do help but there have been too many times where I've noticed white bits on my eyelashes where my mascara didn't cover it up all the way. not worth the extra few minutes of sleep, imo... |
