This is a new launch from Sally Hansen, and the displays at the drugstore were staring at me, and I was staring at them, and I broke down and bought probably the prettiest color ever.
... @ that nailpolish
Ok, ladies. You know when you have that bottle of nailpolish that you forgot about, and it's been under the bed for about 2 years until you rediscover it? So you paint your nails, and it comes out all goopy and globby and streaky, but you keep on painting hoping against hope that it'll look better once it dries? And that it'll look better after a second coat? And it doesn't...
Yeah. Sally Hansen Salon Nail Polish is like that.
Big. Thumbs. Down.
I'm returning this. |

Sorry to hear that. I've had excellent luck with Sally Hansen. I like the Maximum Growth base and top coat (my manicures last forever with this stuff). I also like the Diamond Strength nail color and the Star Opal nail glazes. Even the plain old Hard as Nails color is good. I haven't tried this new stuff yet-- I was tempted, but maybe I won't buy it now! |

I haven't tried the "Salon Nail Polish," but I've been using Sally Hanson's "No Chip 10 Day Nail Color" in "Still Sanding" for about a month. I don't find it any more chip-resistant than any quality nail polish (starts chipping and wearing off the tips at around day 3 for me), but I love the color! Because it's a light color, chips are hardly noticable. It's a gorgeous, subtle, pearly beige-platinum color, like the inside of an irridescent sea-shell, and it goes with everything. I dislike sheers, and most pearly shades are sheer. This one, however, is solid with just two coats. |

Yeah, I was also eyeing the 10 day polish but I got warned off by another customer with chipped nails saying that that was what she was wearing.
I love several of Sally's polishes, and I really wanted to like this one. |
