So, this is probably the WORST line I have ever experienced. I do not have sensitive skin in the least and my face felt horrible after some of these products.

First off is is the Lasting Eye color in Pink/Aubergine: Beautiful colors, yes...but, and I never though I'd say this, but it stays on TOO well. I had to scrub my lids raw to get this off, not even oil would take it off of me. Plus, the fact that it dries so fast, you can't blend it in a natural way. It looks like you have paint on your eyes, not soft, blendable and natural...harsh "I've got circus makeup on" lines...
Ingredients:
sododecane, Cyclopentasiloxane, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Acrylates Copolymer, Propylene Carbonate, VP/Hexadecane Copolymer, Isopropylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Butylparaben, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate.[+/- (May Contain): Mica (CI 77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Carmine (CI 75470), Ferric Ferrocyanide (CI 77510), Manganese Violet (CI 77742)].

Lip Stay in Raspberry...ugh. It smells horrible and tastes terrible if you accidentally get it in your mouth. Staying power or not, it wasn't worth it to me. Couldn't find an ingredient list but I'm sure gasoline is in there!!!! Okay okay, sorry, not fair. I take it back...kind of.

Another product I tried was the Liner Stay...used with a powder eyeshadow, it creates a liquid liner (like Too Face Liquifye). Again...TOO much staying power, my lids were so red and raw, not to mention the liner sealer stung my skin. It didn't get INTO my eyes, it burned my lids immediately after application. OW!

To top it off, I tried the Spackle face primer. I should have known that anything that shares a name with putty for repairing walls might not be great. Well, it's not (for me anyway). It was, just, ugh. Took forever to dry and my face was a greaseball after awhile, then once I took it off my face felt abnormally dry...strange I know! It just didn't work at all for my oily/combo face. Sticky. Goopy. Spackle, yes. Primer, no.
Ingredients:
Water, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, Dimethicone, Propylene Glycol, Cyclomethicone, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dimethiconol, PEG/PPG-18/18 Dimethicone, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Malva Sylvestris (Mallow) Extract, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Extract, Lecithin, Bisabolol, Triethanolamine, Carbomer, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Titanium Dioxide, Mica

Don't get me wrong, the colors were fine, but it's the quality of the product that disappointed me.
My first experiences with this line were so bad, I'm avoiding it like the plague, even though some of her eyeshadow colors look fun.

Nope. No way. No how. Not talking

If you've had good experiences with Laura Geller, please post. I hate to sound so negative and critical or chase people away from a line that might work for them. But I just had to share.

Paris,

I also hate being negative on a product - but I must also warn that the Spackle primer is NOT for us oily-skinned gals. If it's going to work for anybody, it would be for someone with dry skin.

Her bronze'n something or something & baked blushes gets raves on MUA-did you see any of those? I can't bring myself to order sight unseen & they look ultra shimmery to me...plus you never know which color you'll end up with since when they're baked-different swirls come up. Very strange.

Every now and then I'll swing by QVC and they'll be demonstrating that product. I don't know...the models just never look quite right. Really shiny. I figure if it looks weird on some 20-something model with perfect skin, there's NO WAY I'll be happy with it on my face Laughing

Hmm, I'm oily and spackle is ok on me. I also like those lip glosses as the colour is strong and has good staying power. I also like the shimmery powder, it does a good job of light deflecting on the dark circles and I often use it just over my moisturiser. Not the product you want if you like matte.

Just another example of how the same product can give different results on different faces! Isn't that crazy?

It's got this weird pearly sheen too...it must be the Mica that's in it.

They tout it as being great for all skin, at least that is what she told me on QVC when I bought the kit originally Sad

True Marla.

I don't think the pearly sheen suits everyone. It doesn't always suit me Laughing What I mean is some days you feel like a matte lady other days a dewy lady somedays you need all the help you can get Laughing

I've tried the Bronze & Brighten and it is not shiney on me. I have oily skin and the last thing I need is more shine! It gives a natural bronzed look for my medium tone skin with yellow/neutral undertones.

IMO, the Balance & Brighten is also not shiney but has more pink & beige tones in it.

I tried the baked blush in berry but returned it because I couldn't decide if I really liked the color or not. This one does have a slight sparkle to it, but not overly so.

I definitely agree that spackle does not work well for oily skin. It really didn't do very much as a primer either.

I agree with jwils - I have this product and don't think it is shiny at all...as a matter I think it is pretty mediocre Sad because it isn't light reflective at all...for me, it goes on as a very "low-to-no shimmer" bronzing powder.

I also have her Brightener (the one with the swirly things in a compact) and I really like it. A tad pink, but great for a quick sweep in the mornings. Actually hold up better than my mineral makeup and holds back the shine fairly well. Don't have anything else by her though.

This thread prompted me to pull out the Laura Geller Bronze and Brighten and give it another try...Initially, I responded very unfavourably because I was expecting some sparkle...This morning, I applied a light dusting of it across my cheeks, bridge of my nose, forhead and tip of chin and, believe it or not, I've received a ton of compliments already (and it is only 10:15 am!)...My skin actually looks really good!!!!....I have a very healthy, natural glow - and, for me, it is really difficult to get a natural look with any bronzing product becuase I am so desperately fair-skinned...I must say that I am feeling quite sheepish given my previous unfavourable post and thought it only fair to resubmit based on "try number two!"...Thumbs up from me on this one! Very Happy ..OK - have to get back to work! Embarassed

not at all I think highly of you for saying it. It would have been easier to slink of and not post anything.
