I know I already started a thread about products fromwww.bestbathstore.com , but I can't seem to find it ( Embarassed ) so I'm just starting a new one. Anyways, a little while back I placed an order from these guys including a few full-size items and a handful of samples, so I thought I'd do a review of the products I received:

Pore Refining Facial Toner: OK, so I actually have to go back on something I said in my last review of this stuff. I had said before that I was reluctant to order it because I didn't like the smell. Well, I decided to go ahead and order it anyway because I LOVED how hydrating it was, and I am SO glad I did! They must have tweaked their formulation process, because the full-size bottle of toner I received had a gorgeous rose-aloe scent that I just love. The packaging is also very elegant: it's a frosted glass atomizer and it looks fabulous on my bathroom counter. It's hard to say whether I prefer this or Zenbiotic's Oxytoner, but suffice to say I love them both so much that I've put my other toners away and am just using these two right now.

Ingredients:
Distilled Water, Organic Aloe Vera, Rose Hydrosol, Vegetable Glycerin, Vitamin B, Kombuchka, Comfrey Extract, Wheat Protein, Polysorbate 80, Black Willowbark Extract, Allantoin, Yarrow Essential Oil & Rosemary Oleoresin Extract.

Acne Treatment Gel: I have a more detailed review for this stuff floating around, so I'll keep this one brief, but I'm still totally loving this stuff. Quite possibly the best acne serum I've found.

Ingredients: Certified Organic Aloe Vera, Helichrysum Hydrosol, Comfrey Infused Witch Hazel, Extracts of Red Clover and Burdock Root, Manuka Honey, Manuka Oil, Xanthum Gum, Helichrysum & Litsea Cubeba Essential Oils

Intensive Under Eye Treatment: Still loving this stuff as much as before. It has a light, relaxing, scent, and sinks into my skin like liquid silk. Best of all, no milia!

Ingredients:
Rose Bulgarian Hydrosol, Helichrysum Hydrosol, Rosehip Seed Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Raw Shea Butter, Apricot Kernel Oil, CO2 Combo, Vitamin E, Caffeine, Ester C, Vitamin K, Xanthum Gum, Helichrysum, Rose and Lavender Essential Oils.

Bay Lime Shaving Cream and Shaving Gel: These two products are very similar, so I thought I'd list them together. I admit that I asked for samples of these products on a whim, not really expecting to buy them, but I found that I really like them! For both products a little goes a long way, and they really provided me with the closest shave I've had in a long time. Best of all, my skin felt so soft after shaving! Ladies, if you are still using those drying, soap-based shave gels from the drugstore, I URGE you to request a sample of the Bay Lime Shaving Cream or Shaving Gel--- they are really luxurious and take shaving to a whole new level. The lime scent is really refreshing, too. As for which of these two products I'll order the full size of, I'll probably go for the gel because I like the convenience of the squeeze bottle. Either one of these would definitely make a luxurious present for those hard-to-shop-for men in your life, IMO.

Shaving Cream Ingredients:
Coconut Fatty Acid Cream Base, Purified Water, Aloe Vera, Sesame Oil, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Witch Hazel Extract, Chamomile Extract, Calendula Select, Wheat Germ, Vitamin E, Zinc Oxide, Comfrey Root, Xanthum Gum, Bay Rum, Blue Chamomile & Lavender Essential Oils.

Shaving Gel Ingredients:
Purified Water, Aloe Vera, Sesame Oil, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Rhassoul Clay, Wheat Protein, Silk Protein, Vitamin E, Zinc Oxide, Comfrey Root, Xanthum Gum, Bay Rum, Blue Chamomile & Lavender Essential Oils.

Bay Lime Soothing Aftershave: I requested this sample for my DH. I love the smell of aftershave on my husband, but unfortunately a lot of aftershaves are just too strong for my delicate sense of smell and they give me a headache. This aftershave is just perfect, though--- love the smell, and it's not overwhelming at all. Again, I think it's a great idea for a gift.

Ingredients:
Aloe Vera, Witch Hazel Extract, Sandalwood Hydrosol, Essential Oil Blend of Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Rosemary, West Indian Bay, Blue Chamomile & Organic Lime Essential Oils.

Shea Butter Unscented Face and Body lotion: I was definitely skeptical that a lotion designed for the body could also be used on the face without overwhelming it or causing breakouts, but this lotion is definitely a great multi-tasker. I want to test it some more before I speak on it in more detail, but I will say that after using it a few times it felt great on my skin, was easily absorbed, and did NOT cause break outs. My husband loves to have one lotion that he can apply to both his face and body in the winter time, so this is totally what I've been searching for for him--- especially since it's something that I'll want to use too. I love the ingredients--- so pure! And the price is great: only $15. Definitely going for the full-size bottle in my next order.

Ingredients:
Lavender Hydrosol, Organic Aloe Vera, Jojoba, Grapeseed, Shea Butter, Vitamin E, Beeswax, Irish Moss, Xanthum Gum, Calendula Extract & Optiphen

The final verdict on all of this stuff is that I just love it. I've been trying to eliminate silicones and other nasties as much as I can from my routine, so these products really fit the bill. The ingredients lists are all great, and I think the prices are really reasonable for the quality of products being offered, so I am definitely planning on buying again in the future. I'm quite curious about their other products too, so if anyone else tries any of their stuff, please post some reviews for me to read!^-^ Also, here are the discount codes I've been using for my orders--- they are good til Dec. 18:
10% off any order: 0610
20% off a $50 order: 0620
30% off a $100 order: 0630

AHH...I'm so glad you reviewed these!!! I think after the holidays (I'm buying waaaay too much at this point), I'll have used my acne gel sample (when it gets here, oy!) and probably be on my way to ordering a full size of it...I'll request samples of these!

I only wish that their Acne facial cleanser wasn't in a bar form...I'm not a fan of the bar!

So I just tried the Dead Sea Facial Scrub, since I ordered it as a sample with my last full-size order. I was expecting to feel so-so about it, as I just found what I thought was my HG scrub from MyChelle, and as salt scrubs tend to be too harsh for my facial skin. But this stuff was magic!

It's creamy and whitish-greyish, and it has a scent that I can't really describe, but I'll call it "the end of the floral spectrum that I don't like" - it's not bad, but it's not a scent I'd want to be covered in. But it fades right away, and it's pleasant during use. Maybe Lily of the Valley or Freesia or something.

The texture is wonderful - I thought the bits of "brine" listed in the ingredients would be rough and scratchy, but they were in fact tiny and gentle but very exfoliating. The scrub was nice and moisturizing and left a glow and a soft feeling of moisture still on my skin, like after OCM but less greasy.

This is a total winner for me, and I'll definitely pick up a jar and alternate with my new MyChelle Fruit Enzyme Scrub, as the two are both co-HGs now for me. Smile So glad I tried this!

Ingredients: Dead Sea Brine, High Magnesium Dead Sea Salts, Dead Sea Powdered Clay, Organic Wild Honey, Organic Avocado Pulp & Seed Powder, Kokum Butter, Shea Butter, Virgin Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Sesame Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Organic Sunflower Oil, Unrefined Hempseed Oil, Wheat Protein, Silk Protein, Vitamin E, dl Panthenol, Allantoin, Essential Oil Blend

I ordered sample sizes of the Acne Treatment Bar (soap), the Acne Serum and the Facial Scrub. So far, I've only used the Acne Soap (which I love, love, love, talk about feeling super clean, but not stripped - something that's not easy to achieve) and really enjoy the Acne Serum. I may just have to make the jump to full sizes. After reading the review on the scrub, though, looks like I'll have to wait to try that one, because I might have to get a full size of that one too!!

Hehe, sorry to break the bank with my rave, if that's what did it! A word to the wise, though - my right eye has been KILLING me the past few days, and I think it may be because I got a tiny piece of the grit from the Dead Sea Scrub in it. My own fault for not being careful when I rinsed, as this could happen with any scrub, but it's been really painful - be careful when you use this stuff, as the particles are so tiny that it doesn't get expelled easily from the eye! Makes for a great scrub experience, just not a pleasant ocular one.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that. Have any of you tried the bath bombs at Best Bath Store? I ordered a Lemon-Lime bath bomb - and took a bath ...it was like bathing in the best scent...reminded me of sprite. Anyway I love that they are all natural! Has anyone tried any other bath bombs? I am a relaxing-bath lover. http://www.bestbathstore.com/bath-bombs-fizzies/

I did not find the BBS Body Lotion very hydrating for my skin. It just can't seem to absorb it.

I like their acne and toner, too. Very nice.

The only complaint about those though is that they go bad quickly, especially the acne gel one.

Out of curiosity (and maybe a really dumb question Laughing ), how can you tell that the acne gel has gone bad? By smell? Does the texture change/separate? I was just about to order the full-sized one, which is a very generous size, but I sure don't want it going bad on me before I can use it all!

I am loving the intensive undereye moisturizer. My undereyes have taken somewhat of a beating from using too many retinoids, two courses of accutane, tca peels, etc. I was dabbing a bit of kate somervilles deep tissue repair on my undereyes, but this stuff is so much better! I use it on top of Isomers copper p concentrate serum and voila! My undereyes still need a bit of help, but they are starting to look as they did when I was 16 again.

Does best bath store make a facial equivalent?

I just discovered Best Bath Store this week and it looks interesting. I think I'll just buy some samples though first. The Acne clearing gel looks interesting

I've had my samples a couple of weeks now and here are my thoughts:

Mask - stings like crazy every time I try to use it even just spot treating areas.

Face scrub - I like this but I find it difficult to spread, like it just wants to stick together and most of it ends up falling in the sink. But I may buy this if I can find a better way to use it.

Acne soap - have not tried yet

Acne gel - this is just ok to me, didnt work any magic. I already use some products from garden of wisdom that I like so I probably wont buy.

Shampoo - I love this shampoo and will be being this.

Thanks for the review. I am so tempted but I am not sure whether I should give it a try as it contains many essential oils which tend to break me out. Confused

Girliegirl, I know what you mean about the face scrub falling in the sink--- it has this waxy texture that makes it VERY hard to spread. Confused This is actually a new formulation--- the old formulation was much "creamier" and easier to spread, and it had this delightful neroli fragrance. Needless to say, when I reordered and received this new formulation, I was a bit upset and sent BBS an email to let them know just HOW upset I was. To their credit, they responded to me within hours and apologized for my bad experience. They then started working right away to tweak the formula so it would be creamier and more user friendly, and they are even working on repackaging it into a squeeze bottle so we don't have to dip our hands into a jar, yay! They offered to send me a sample of the new formulation so I could see if I liked it better, so if you have been frustrated/disappointed with the scrub you got you might try emailing them and letting them know about the waxiness, etc. Overall it really is an AWESOME scrub (always makes me my face feel like silk after I use it), so I'm very happy that they were willing to make it easier to use for us.

Thanks manslayerliz. I wonder which formula I got. I just got these samples a few weeks ago. I think I will send them a note and ask about it.

Girlie, I just got a bottle of the new formula and it is AWESOME!! The texture is very creamy, it's in a hygenic squeeze bottle, and it has a gorgeous neroli fragrance. Apparently if you received the old formula you can just send BBS an email with your order number and they will send you a bottle of the new formula free of charge, so if you haven't done that yet be sure to do so. I think you're really going to love it!

So Liz, compared to the old stuff, do you like this better or worse, or about the same? I loved the old stuff but not the jar, and I might actually switch to buying this instead of EpidermxII if it gets your blessing as a bona fide upgrade!

All I can say is WOW! I sent BBS an email asking if I could exchange the scrub I bought with the new one and they sent it to me the next day. The new, new one is by far the best! They had an old one which was pretty good, a new one which was ok but kind of rough and was really hard to apply (it would slip off the face), but this newer one (which isn't pictured on their website yet) is by far the best scrub I've ever used hands down! The smell is like heaven and the texture amazing. I just used the scrub, then their mud mask, then their rose lotion and I feel amazing! Highly recommended!

Best Bath Store is running a holiday special- 40% off on orders 95$ and over, and free shipping. (So you order 100$ worth, but pay 60$) Coupon code is BBSWINT08. I'm almost unhappy, in a weird way, to learn of this special because I recently made an order with them and I don't really need anything but I don't think I'll be able to resist this special.

I forgot to add, it expires Dec 3, so just a couple of days left. Of course I couldn't resist this deal. I already ordered- I got one of the gift sets, the eye cream, rose lotion, and shampoo. Is anybody else taking advantage of this offer? What are you getting?
