Hello..can anybody recommend a sun protection product for a very sensitive and oily skin. I am presently using a lightening cream on my face coz I have some hyperpigmentation marks on some areas of my face. Thanks.. |

Have we got a product for you!! Skinceuticals sunblocks are great for sensitive skin, as they contain micronized zinc oxide (not chemical sunscreens). These are also non-greasy. In fact, this is the brand that we use for our microdermabrasion clients after their treatments (whose skin is sensitive afterwards). Skinceuticals sunblocks are broad-spectrum, and are available in protection factors of 20, 30, and 45. So you're in-the-know: In Style magazine just rated this as their #1 pick for 2003! |

Thanks for the quick response. I have some more questions - What about Peter thomas roth max sheer all day moisture defense lotion would you recommend this as well, is this comparable to skinceuticals? I know it's more expensive but I really need something that won't irritate my skin. The ceramide and gingko biloba on Peter Thomas Roth's sound soothing, what do you think? thanks!! |

I used Proactiv Oil-free moisture with SPF 15. It is a very good cream because it contains octinoxate and Zinc Oxide. These are recognized ingredients for sun protection, yet it also contains Nylon 12 which is a good oil absorber for oily and prone skin. |

i am in the same boat as you. i tend towards oily skin and i am very fair and need to use sunscreen everyday. i tried the ptr sunscreens and i really didn't care for them, i found them rather thick. i didn't mind the skinceuticals one if i was putting on makeup, but if i was going without makeup, this sunscreen would make my face super shiny.
i LOVE shiseido sunscreen. they are extremely light and thin...almost lotion like. i use the extra smooth spf 33 everyday. it doesn't cause me to breakout and leaves a nice matte finish.

The coppertone gel spf 30 is supposed to be an excellent broad spectrum sunscreen but I do not know if it would be good for a sensitive skin. It is good for oily skin b/c it has no oil... |

I have found that the Zia line carries great sunscreens not to mention their other products. They come in spf 15 and 30 and inexpensive. This is the one sunscreen my mother swears by. |
