I just bought this at my local health food store (for $12CAD, on sale) last night. I was a little hesitant, because KMF has used petro-chemicals in their products in the past. Upon consultation of the ingredient list, I was delighted to find out that they no longer contain harmful ingredients. So in the shopping basket it went.
Now, my skin is usually pretty normal, minimal breakouts, etc... But I recently tried a foundation brand that really was not for me (Organic Makeup Company) which cause a weird rash and breakouts on my chin. I was in need of some major exfoliation!!!
So after removing my makeup, I wet my face and applied the KMF Organic Jojoba & Mint Facial (which is just basically a fancy way of saying scrub). Wow!!!! SO refreshing!!! The grains were nice and smooth, so they did not irritate or scratch at the skin, all the while providing an effective exfoliation. But that's not the best part... that rush from the mint keeps working even after you've washed it off. It was like getting that "skeaky clean" feeling without your skin feeling stripped.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE it, so I give it a (out of a possible 5). And I loved that it was so affordable.
Ingredients: Certified organic floral water of peppermint*, Lemon Balm*, Lavender*, Chamomile*, Steam Distilled Water, Infusion of Certified organic herbs of Nettle*, Oat Straw*, Olive Leaf* & Rosemary*, Certified Organic Sunflower Oil*, Cetearyl Glucoside, Glyceryl Stearate, Certified organic Jojoba Oil*, Vegetable Glycerine, Caprylic Acid, Glycine, Panthenol, Certified organic Soy Oil*, Grapeseed Oil, Peppermint Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Xanthan Gum, Eucalyptus Oil, Camphor Oil, Bergamot Oil, Lecithin, Tocopherol (Vitamin E).
*Certified by quality Assurance International
One caution, however, this product is not for you sensitive skin types out there, because it sure does pack a punch! |

Petrochemicals are not harmful. And not all natural ingredients are instantly amazing... |

edenfield, I do most certainly agree with you that not all natural ingredients are wonderful or have a great reaction. I was simply giving my (humble) opinion on the KMF scrub, which has worked well for me.
I have to disagree with you, however, that parabens and petrochemincals are not harmful. I have read a great many articles that state that parabens have been found in breast cancer tumors. This is indeed quite scary. Having been screened for breast cancer (and I am screened every 6 months because of a lump in my breast), I find it quite important to research this subject. Parabens are used as preservatives by major cosmetics companies because they are cheaper, not because they are safe. |
