I got this as a free gift with my EDS order a month or so back, and I finally decided to open the tube and use it since I was noticing a few freckles (guess my winter SPF 15 wasn't cutting it).
Anyway, I liked that it was supposed to be zinc oxide based and has no parasol (I avoid any sunscreen with that ingredient). So yes, this sunscreen leaves a slight white cast, but not too noticeable.
Texture: okay, creamy sunscreen that wasn't greasy, however, it left a slight "sticky" feeling on my face.
1st day use: It was nice enough, I could see myself using this for winter (it has a low PPD of only 6-8 if I remember reading this correctly somewhere). Slight white cast as mentioned above, but not a big deal.
2nd day use: Absolutely HORRIBLE. It started balling up on my face, and I couldn't spread it out properly because it'd ball up! I tried some powder on top to help it settle after I tried my best to smooth it out, but it just all ended up feeling yucky that I washed the sunscreen off my face.
3rd day use: I thought yesterday might have been a fluke, and maybe the sunscreen would act "normal" again. No such luck. Lots of balling up again. Washed it off again.
So that's about it. I'm not willing to give this sunscreen another try. I'm fed up with it. Thankfully it was only a freebie from EDS. Back to my Sunkiller and Sunplay sunscreens.
(If anyone wants this tube of sunscreen pm me. As I understand this sunscreen works well for some people but not others. Just cover postage. exp April 07.) |

I also had issues with this product balling up on my face. Other sunscreens don't do that to me. I think it has a nice consistency out of the tube, but no way can I use it on my face. I am now using it up on my chest area; if I get impatient to use it up, I'll also use it on my arms/legs when shorts weather returns. |
