Hello,
I wanted to share with everyone a longtime secret, not one that I've kept jealously guarded or anything, but one that I certainly take for granted at times and have meant to post for a long time.
Rubis tweezers.
I hardly ever see them carried anywhere, because Tweezerman has the market cornered with their excellent marketing team, but Rubis definitely makes the BESt tweezers there are. I've been using them for over 15 years. Whenever I've been without them and resorted to trying other's tweezers, I've been amazed at how they all pale in comparison. Even tweezerman--way too sharp and not precise enough! I felt as if I was going to poke my eye out with those things.
Anyways, please do yourself a favor and buy Rubis tweezers.
I've used their slant-tip tweezers in the past, but the one's I'm linking here are the absolute zenith of tweezers.

They are perfectly precise, they have never lost an iota of their sharpness in the 5 yrs I've used them, and they are easily manoeuverable, esp. with regard to ingrown hairs. And of course splinters.

I am almost certain that these tweezers were raved about in Allure but I don't trust Allure to really know what they are talking about. It is good to hear someone else rave about these. I would feel alot better purchasing these now! |

It's funny how different things work for different people...
I'd purchased one of these, and while it was better than my Tweezerman, I had horrible problems with the Rubis breaking (or cutting?) off the brow hairs instead of pulling them out.
When I read about Anastasia's tweezers here on EDS - and the raves it received, I bought them (at $28 vs the $39 I'd paid at Sally's for the Rubis). The Rubis went back to Sally's the next day! |

Catmcall,
where did you buy the Anastasia tweezers? I am looking for a new pair, sine mine was droped to the floor and no longer functions as before, and I do not like Tweezerman.
TIA,
Lucy. |

Hi, Sigma.
I got mine at Sephora. I was tempted to buy the whole brow set, but decided I didn't really need the rest of the stuff, so I just bought the tweezers. I think Ulta is carrying some Anastasia items now too. |

Glad I saw this post. I was going to buy a 2nd pair of Tweezerman slants for when I send a pair in for sharpening. Last time I did that, it took about a month for them to return my tweezers to me! Do the Rubis and Anastasia offer free sharpening like Tweezerman (and do those other brands really even need it?) |
