...feel obligated to buy from them if you know you can get the products cheaper elsewhere (online)? Do you tell them that if they offer to sell you products?

Absolutely - if I want to buy a product I've usually done some research first, and I'll always tell them if the product's cheaper elsewhere - they may never know otherwise, and sometimes they appreciate the heads-up (soemtimes I get kind of a frosty look too, but that's life....).

I'm the worst person to ask at this moment. I'm kicking myself for buying a blowdryer with a warranty. I didn't want it but the clerk already placed it with the purchase. So...here we are...

I told her no at first, but I think she didn't hear me.

depends if i want it instantly or am willing to put the time into researching and waiting for it to show up. Normally if it's a different of less than $10 I just buy it on the spot b/c I can't be bothered.

If the esthetician has given me a bunch of different samples (not just one foil pack!) and went out of her way to explain how to use them, etc. I would probably consider buying something from her in future.

If it is a huge difference, I would buy at the cheaper source.

I would prefer to buy from my esthetician just because I feel like I should. But, I always know my prices, so if I can get it a lot cheaper elsewhere, I will.

Ditto, lianne!!! I also agree with autumn95 that if the esthetician has spent extra time with me, given me samples, etc... I may feel inclined to pick it up to thank & encourage her.

I really try to always get the best price. The older I get , the more I go for the deal. All my skin care stuff is rather expensive ,& any discount helps.

I rarely buy from the esthetician -- it's almost always cheaper to buy it online.

Luckily it's really easy for me to say "I have SO MUCH stuff at home...but it's good to know that I can buy from you when I run out." Wink

I never bring up buying cheaper elsewhere.

Same thing as pp's, though...if she gives me great service and/or samples, AND I really need the item, I would consider buying from the esthetician.

Marla

If my esthetician introduced the products to me I'd buy from her for the 1st time and then buy them some where else after I used up.
