I just read this in the dermatology section of About . com (sorry, I can't use links yet as I am too new)
Juvederm®, a dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid, has been approved by the FDA and will be available for use soon. According to manufacturer, Allergan, Inc. (who also makes Botox®), Juvederm is smoother than currently approved hyaluronic acid dermal fillers (Restylane® is the most popular) "because it's the only dermal filler currently available with the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid and a special formulation process". |

I've heard Radiensse (SP?) lasts for a couple of years. Do you know how long the Juvederm will last? |

It would be great if it lasted a bit longer than the others too! |

My doc is one of them using it in a trial study right now. He seems pleased so far. It is mainly used in nasolabial lines and is supposed to last up to 18 months. The time line is what they are doing the trial on right now to compare to radiesse and resty. |

..very interesting..I'll be interested in checking that out since I've used by Restylane and Perlane in the past (with mixed results)!

Hi Annie. Just wondering what city your doctor is in? I wonder if trial patients get cheaper prices? |

18 months lasting time for nasolabial lines?! That is amazing!!! The nasolabial lines are hell to soften - you need a pile of perlane to sponge those out - and the results lifespan (in my experience) is 4 or 5 months tops. I wonder how pricey it is....

That would be an amazing length of time for something like this to last - I'd definitely be interested!! |
