I have been using this product for years, on and off. It is fantastic on acne scarring, the sooner you use it on a scar the quicker it will fade.
Also it is amazing as a skin firmer, you can take it right around the eyes, up to the lash line, although don't layer it too thick here or it will drip into your eyes. I could not be without this fantastic product. LOVE IT! |

It's the same stuff for face and body. The one for your face comes in a lot smaller tube, the one for body is a lot bigger, but it's exactly the same stuff and much more economical to buy the body one, even if you do only want it for your face.
I agree it's fab at getting rid of scars. It doesn't really have a scent. |

There really isn't a scent as such it has a slight "clean" aroma. I really like to put a layer on and let it sink in before I moisturize, although I put on any other product like acne cream etc first. You can also mix it with your moisturizer if you prefer - great for the backs of the arms mixed with body lotion! It really helps get rid of any necklace lines or those horrid sleep lines that seem to stay longer as you get older - yuck! |

For the necklace and sleep lines, I am choosing between the Jurlique neck serum and the Prolagene... has anyone tried both? If so what did you think? The Prolagene is certainly better value for money. |

I haven't used the jurlique - I find the prolagene good because it is a gel and I can spread it generously and as you say it is better value for money and it has more uses, I think. |

Prolagene gel is not for anti aging so I would go for the Jurlique. |

Prolagene Gel is not for wrinkles, but it does have a very good firming effect, so if your problem is sagging or slackening then this could be worth a try, but if wrinkles is the problem, maybe the Jurlique is better for that. |

You can also use this like a mask - put a thick layer on and let it sink in - I do this around my eyes. |

I use one of my oils first, then prolagene and then moisturizer...if necessary. Helps heal up blemishes and could be firming...don't know, haven't really noticed...but then again - it could be firming, coz I'm not sagging and I've used this for a couple of years now.
The Body and the Facial gel are seemingly the same and the Body size is SO much better value for money. Cheapest place I've found it was strawberry net.

I just started to use a vitamin C serum. Would I apply the serum, then the gel, then a moisturizer? |

Prolagene gel may not be marketed as anti-wrinkle however it plumps up and firms the skin and so I would consider it anti-wrinkle. However you would need a moisturiser to go with it or mix the moisturiser and prolagene gel together and apply (if short of time). I use it for both body and face from time to time. I had a fresh scar on my feet and it has made it nearly disappear. It's very good. |

Can you tell me how moisturising this is. My skin can sometimes get dry but if i layer too much on it will clog up the pores and get oily.
I am using the aromessence neroli and the hydra floral and if this isn't too moisturising i will use this in between the two but i will pass on using it if it is too moisturising as i am not sure if my skin will be able to handle the neroli, prolagene and hydra floral cream. |

hi wickawer, i don't find it moisturizing at all by itself so i don't *think* it would be too much but i guess the only way you would know for sure is to give it a go inbetween and see what happens? let us know. |

It is not at all moisturising - it is a gel. If you are using it with the neroli oil and hydra floral, I would recommend apply the prolagene gel first. It gets absorbed quickly. Then apply the oil, then the moisturiser. If you are rushed for time, then, apply oil first, mix the gel with the moisturiser and apply together. |

So is this gel more liquid than some gels out there as sometimes a gel will just ball up on me if I use another product over it? |

no, this gel does not ball up. It's not too runny either. If you have a decleor counter accessible, perhaps you could ask them to show you a sample? |

Piz,
Thanks for reminding me what a great product this is. I had a whole tube languishing in my cabinet almost since I got it as I was using Decleor Hydrafloral under makeup. In fact I was kind of ready to chuck it out. But as the weather is warming up emulions seem too much for my skin and I was looking for a good replacement. So I read your post and out came the Prolagene again and it is great after I spray on PSF02 serum; calms the skin, keeps redness down and is a refreshing base for the day. |

so...iv bought this gel a few weeks ago and have used it once to do a test patch behind my ears and it kinda stung a little bit but cos it wasnt that bad i tried it on my face...bad decision! broke out from it and clogged my pores.
cos i got a full tube of it still, i decided to use it on my body to diminish some stretchmarks cos the skin on my body's not as sensitive...wrong again!
when i applied it, the gel made my skin firm up a bit and gave it a smooth overall feel but after 5 minutes or so, some parts of my body began to itch so in the end i had to wash it off.
but the gel was very fresh on the skin and not sticky at all |
