I bought mine at Walmart, in the fabric department, then cut the material to what size I wanted.. I did it because it's rec'd for the OCM..
I just never remember to use them...
**Editing to add.. In answer to your question, I do like them, when I remember to use them.. They are quite gentle.. And VERY inexpensive and easy to make.. Then just toss them in the wash... Good as new... |

Maybe you sould think about using baby cloth. They are pretty soft. Small...a bit expensive...but really soft. I know that Aveda sale a "shamy" cloth. Not sure if thats what you looking for , but maybe that will help. |

A flannel is a wash cloth. It's a British term. |

Culture differences strike again!! LOL That's one I've never heard... Thanks for clearing that up for us, Sutrish... I just know that with the OCM and castor oil use, the rec using flannel material... It was an honest mistake...
**And just in case someone tries to take that as a slam to you, or my getting upset... Sutrish, I'm just teasing you... I know you weren't trying to reprimand me... |

I actually knew that and thought that's what everyone meant.

As far as I know a flannel is a flannel...just a very small towel. Personally I find them a bit harsh ... I prefer muslin. As majorb said you can get them from Eve Lom or Liz Earle. With the latter you get one with every jar of cleansing balm but you can also buy pots of three. My facialist reckons you need to replace them after a year as she reckons they are not so effective after that time. You could also make some up from a load of muslin cloth (I'd go for the thicker ones) but make sure to cut them big enough. I tried some muslin cloths that I got for cooking use (straining liqiuids etc) but they were way too small. |

The Aveda Chamois cloth is very soft. I usually use it in the morning to cleanse or to remove masks. In the evening, I use Aquis' microfiber cloth; it is a waffle weave and is fabulous at removing makeup. |
