Many posts on here wrote about Alima mineral makeup and I ordered some samples from them. I am very pale either cool or neutral (depending on the area of face) and this makeup looked truly beautiful on me. Normally my pores are larger looking with mineral makeup but with this it looked normal and better yet my skin tone matched my neck. It was very easy to use and didn't require a lot of blending like Bare Escentuals or even Everyday Minerals (though I like their blushes and eye shadows very much.) On average I think that Alima is very easy to use as a mineral makeup, far more so than the others that I have used. Thank you to all the members here who wrote about it and recommended it. I have had such a time trying to find the perfect match for my skin tone since I am very pale. Normally that means that the foundations that I use end up looking quite pinkish in colour but with Alima I've found my perfect colour. It's a combination of Damask N-0 and Chiffon N-1. Did I mention that I was pale? |

Well you were one of the posters that convinced me.
I haven't bought any Alima blushes yet. I received one as a sample but it went on very dark and looked quite obvious actually. Since I am bewtween a Damask N-0 or Chiffon N-1, I need a rather light shade but nothing "warm" in colour. Online many of the colours look quite dark. Have you tried any that would be suitable for a very pale skinned person? |

I'm sorry Anna I'm afraid i won't be able to help you in that department as my skin is light tan. I believe Manslayerliz who is also pale (and gorgeous!), likes her blush in Sugar Rose and you can find her review here:

dollbird, you are just too sweet!
Anna, just like dollbird said, I have very fair skin too (C-0/W-0 ), and I LOVE Alima's blushes! Before I discovered them I never really enjoyed blush because it never looked that great on me. Right now I'm using Sugar Rose (a neutral beigy pink with a bit of gold shimmer), Dianthus (cool rose with subtle gold highlights), Guava (peachy pink), and Peony (warm beige pink). They are all just gorgeous! I also tried Aurora and didn't like it as much as they others because it wasn't as pigmented, but it's nice and cool so I think it might suit you. Also Sormuimui recommended Candy for me, so I want to try that one too. So many blushes, so little time, LOL! HTH! |

Oh now I want to try this mineral makeup too! I've been happy with EDM, but I'm always interested in trying something new. I love Alima's colour selection! I'll probably be either an 0 or 1. I've heard good things about their brushes, but I see their foundation brush is currently out of stock. I think I might place an order when it's back in and try their foundation too!
Has anyone tried their Illuminating Shimmer Powder? Too sparkly or just right for a nice glow? |
