Full name: Avalon Organics CoQ10 Facial Cleansing Creme
size: 8.5 fl.oz.
Where purchased:www.vitacost.com
How much? $6.69
Ingredients:
Active Ingredient: patented Coenzyme Q10. Ingredients: certified organic lavender floral water (lavandula officinalis), certified organic extracts of green tea (camellia sinensis), chamomile (chamomilla recutita), althea (althea officinalis), rosemary (rosmarinus officinalis), sage (salvia officinalis), and yarrow (achillea millefolium), caprylic/capric triglyceride, stearic acid, certified organic plant oils of safflower(carthamus tinctorius) and sweet almond (prunus amygdalus dulcis), shea butter (butyrospermum parkii), certified organic aloe barbadensis, sorbitol, napca, tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E), orange blossom (citrus aurantium) essential oil, retinyl palmitate (vitamin A), methyl/propylparaben, and pure essential oils.
My skin type: I think my skin tends to be dry. I need a lot of help to keep it moisturized especially in the winter. I usually don't have an acne problem except for during a certain time of the month, and it's not happening every month. Thank god.
MY RESULTS:
I tried this cleasing creme for about a week now, and just cannot get use to the smell. I can't figure out what the smell reminds me of, but it's just nasty for my nose. I can't even describe it well other than maybe too pungent. I tried using it on my tummy to prep it for the stretch mark treatment, and even though it's used way down there, I still have to lift my nose up to not smell it so much.
Aside from the smell, I can't get the clean feeling. I usually apply a lot of stuff on my face at night including Emu oil, so when I use this cleansing creme to wash my face, it still feels greasy.
I was hoping the CoQ10 in the product would do something to my face, but I don't see anything difference.
Conclusion:
If you really really want to try it, the good news is it's only $6.69 at vitacost.com, and you can always send it back (but the postage may cost you $5 already).
However if you have been eyeing other cleasers, maybe you should try those other ones, and report back your results. |

Excellent review, Cheri! Love the format.
If it doesn't leave one feeling clean, what's the point even with the smell, right?
Thank you,

You're welcome, Ari. It's too bad I didn't like the product because the ingredients sound sooo good. |
