I'm a big fan of cleansing oil, especially for getting off pesky sunscreen residue. I was shocked to see the price that Kanebo International charges for a small bottle of its cleansing oil. Kanebo makes two different cleansing oils for the Japanese market--Naive Cleansing Oil and Precious Turn Clear Cleansing Oil. I'm not sure what the difference is between them or between them and the Kanebo International Oil, but I can tell you one thing--the Japanese oils cost about 4 times less! And, as far as I'm concerned, I'll never find out whether the International one is any better, since my Precious Turn Clear oil rinses beautifully and removes makeup and sunscreen effectively. Both it and the Naive are available for around 10 dollars at one of the Asian grocery stores in my area. |

I do think the Naive cleansing oil isbased on mineral oil, not plant oil, and I think the same goes for most brands inexpencive cleansing oils. To some this is no problem, I for my part cannot put mineral oil on my face without breakouts. ![Confused](images/smiles/confused.gif) |

The price looks great. But I'm really concerned about the mineral oil on my face.. ![Crying or Very sad](images/smiles/cry.gif) |

I know that mineral oil is a problem for some. Not for me, though. I spent years thinking that I couldn't use mineral oil based products, only to break down and try Aquaphor (petrolatum based healing salve) on my lips one cold January when my lips were cracked so badly they were bleeding. And, voila, within a couple of days, all healed up! So I realized that those kind of oils were no problem for me. YMMV though--everyone's skin is different. (The only oil I know I cannot use is coconut oil--even small amounts of it cause a rash. I think I might have an allergy to it...) |

That's awesome that they work great for you! I can't even use petroleum-based stuff! I used Vaseline on my lips for 1 whole month.. and my lips got soooo dry without it.. ![Crying or Very sad](images/smiles/cry.gif) |
