but then it plateaued for you, you had a delayed poor reaction, or it just began to disappoint?
The bad review thread and time requirements got me to thinking. What product(s) did you buy (particularly because of EDS, since that is the common language here), were impressed by initially, but slacked off using because of the (lack of) effect or a bad reseult?
Try not to give products you dropped because you are fickle, or you bore easily, or you saw another rave review and bought impulsively. Let's try to keep this thread really useful to others.
Hint: go look in your bathroom, at the pretty bottles and jars languishing there. And then come back and tell us why. |

Jurlique Rose silk dust--way overrated, makes my skin dry, my face too white, poor ingredients for the price. The only thing I use it for now is a dry shampoo.
Mandelic Acid--Holy cow, this is the worst thing I have ever used on my skin! It worked so well at first then broke me out with cysts you could see from space! |

I bought a sample pack of Dr. Hauschka products for dry skin. I loved them and my skin seemed to improve. I then spent $200 buying the larger sizes of the DHCC, cleaning milk, rose cream and quince cream. Now, I am starting to get some reactions and don't know which particular product is causing little red bumps under my nose (I suspect it is the cleansing milk!). Very annoying as none of the samples caused this! I'm carrying on, hoping that it may be my skin getting used to the products. If not, it will have been an expensive tryout, and I will still be left experimenting trying to find good products! ...makes me wonder if the formulations of the samples are different than the large size products..... ARGGHHH! |

the cosmetics like dr. feelgood, she lag, from benefit!
they are so cute, I love them in the first sight.
But after purchasing them, I have to say, they don't make significant change for my face. And I always forget to apply them. |

Remede's Super Oxygenating Booster. Loved it at first, for two weeks, then started getting little red bumps all over my face! |

At first I was totally in love with DHCC--- the texture, the beer-y smell--- pure heaven. However, a face full of clogged pores and breakouts brought our love affair to a screeching halt. |

Obagi Nu-Derm!
I definitely got suckered into buying this when I went to a Med-spa to get a microderm. They way they explain it and the before and after pictures make it look like the greatest thing ever. It was awful, but I kept up with it until four months later I decided that it shouldn't be taking that long to see results. The thing that made me not give up until then was the sales "consultant" told me that the longer you have certain conditions, the longer it takes to take care of them. Not so!
I used this to treat mild break outs, but there are MUCH better options that cost a lot less, in my opinion. I think this is suited more for mature/sun damaged skin. |

Dr. H products....I spent close to $300 on everything from CC to masks to the conditioners....they worked great for a while then started to cause MAJOR skin problems.
Zenbiotics also....worked great for 2 weeks then major breakouts...after I purchased the mask and vit c serum etc....!
Yonka...great for a week or so then my skin felt like leather.
This is so annoying...i have a PILE of products in my bathroom. |

I really liked Ice Elements 2MM gel, but after two weeks, I decided it really wasn't doing much for me.
Wasn't too impressed. I think I kinda got swept up in all the reviews of it, but once I came down from that, it just wasn't that stellar for me. I am glad people use it and it works for them though!
DHCC...like the very first time I tried it, then for some reason I hated it...but I used up an entire tube to give it a chance. Come week 3-4, I broke out from it. |

I have too many to mention, but I would have to say Sisley mainly because when I first used the products I was like *WOW* they're amazing! But then after a few weeks my skin went crazy because of all the mineral oil they use in most of their products. |

I would have to second Mandelic Acid, totally dried up my face, and that made it break out.
Emu oil - totally broke me out, huge cystic zits! |

I used MaMa Lotion for a while and then dropped it. At first I felt like it was really helping to keep my pores clear; but after a while, it just didn't do anything. |

I would say
ISC Super Serum - My first thought was "what's wrong with me? Why won't this work on my skin?" But, we're all different, so what works so well for some....
PSF O2 Rescue - AT first, I was in love, but as time went on my skin looked no better no worse, then I realized that straight Aloe Vera Gel helped relieve redness so I thought why spend the money?
JB Apple Peel - No big whoop here either.
I'm still not sure about Remergent DNA Repair right now either. I still have a bit to go b/f I run out, but I really don't see a big difference in my skin. I will use every last drop due to the price, but I'm not sure if I will repurchase unless a miracle happens.

AminoGenesis Tripeptinon--loved it at first, but when it came time to decide whether to repurchase, I realized it wasn't really doing anything for my skin that I couldn't get from less expensive products. |

Alphaderma. I used it for probably 4 months or more before I started to see some sag. It may have been coincidental but I won't ever use products with argireline or similar ingredients again. |

Many things over the years, but the one that comes to mind right now is emu oil. I loved it at first, but after a few months of regular use it just seemed to clog up my skin, I started getting little tiny bumps that my facialist kept having to extract. Anyway, I still love emu oil for use on the skin on my legs and feet, but not on my face anymore. |

I think it is kinerase and MD Formulation renewing moisturiser for me. They both ended up too rich for me over time.
but i still enjoying using MD Formulation on my pimples, works beautifully! |

Jala, is there one product in particular that you replaced Tripeptinon with? |

Alphaderma for me too, but for a different reason than bushy's. I actually really liked this product for the first month or so, but it started to clog my pores in a major way. I used the rest up on my arms and legs. |
