Are skin resurfacing peels effective? i've used an acid. TCP or something? but it had no effect (well post peel there was no difference. Do these work? what exactly do they do? |

Yes, they can be quite effective. You really won't see a huge difference with your first "at-home" peel. Well, that's sometimes true of your first professional one, too.
The thing is, the "damage" or whatever you want to correct is below that top layer of dead cells. Sometimes even far below.
It should take several peels to really see a marked difference if the repair need is significant. These should ALWAYS be done at the recommended intervals to keep from damaging your skin. A peel is controlled damage to signal your skin to repair. Too much too soon can cause immense damage to your skin.
So, just be patient and follow instructions. I think you'll be very pleased over time.
