I think she warns of using too much acids on your skin? Im not sure - s.o. posted on another forum how her sensitive skin has improoved since using only a washcloth for exfoliation.
What is your opinion about this book - is it worth buying? |

I bought this book and have tried some of the products she recommends and she also lists the ingredients that are good for your skin type and those that aren't. I thought it was worth buying and my skin is better for it. But if you don't want to pay the money the ladies on this forum have some great recommendations. |

Thanks - when I posted I thought she might be against using hydroxy acids for the most part, but I have since heard that this is not so. Seems its a great book as you said about the actives that are best for your skin type. |

I bought it and did learn quite alot from it, especially about how to take care of my skin type. But of course all these things should be taken with a pinch of salt, just like Paula Begoun. These people can't be right all the time. For me, I found Dr Baumann's product recs lacking. |

I agree with all previous posts. I very much enjoyed reading her book even though her product recommendations didn't always work for me.
The advise she gave in the book was 100 times better than that from many of the dermatologists I've spoken with over the years.
I did like how she teaches how to read product labels and that she gave product recommendations for all budgets. |

I bought the book, and it was very helpful, since I am quite new at skincare. Specially I found interesting her classification of the different skin types, the basics for every type, and the ingredients you should look for or avoid in a cream.
Although this forum is also a great source of information, but I think this book is also worth reading. |
