A while back I made a post about finding my "HG" solution to constantly peeling lips - using rosehip oil and vitamin E. Well after that I simply stopped using lip products all together and it seemed to help with the peeling a lot more - my lips would only "shed" every 4-5 days... but it still would always peel if I used normal lip products
Alas, despite my seeming intolerance to lip products, I still could not control my obsession for all things lip care.
Now recently, SASA.com had an offer for free shipping, so I decided to order some random and cheaply price lip products, and one of them being the Kose VAGUE Lip Cream... now I really consider one of my most fortunate random orders!!
Firstly I thought nothing of the lip cream, just randomly applied it during the day and before bed. But after a few days I noticed that not only were my lips completely smooth and all the wrinkles plumped out, but I had not developed any peeling effect from this product.
I also have this bad habit of smacking my lips together all the time - one of the main things that cause my lip to peel. Now I didn't bother curbing this habit, but it seems like with the lip cream on it does not cause any of that gross dead skin to build up.
I only need to apply this product once after meals, and it stays - STAYS until the next time I wipe off to eat. It does not disappear at all......
I have dabbled with high end, low end, home made etc etc all sorts of lip products, and SOME have given me slight relief of peeling lips, while others tend to aggrevate the condition even more.. For some moment of insanity I thought Juicy Tubes were my HG lip product so I ordered about a dozen of them. But Juicy Tubes only made my lips soft, it did nothing to stop my lips from shedding skin.
The product comes in a small gold tube, and is an opaque cream/yellow colour with a slight vanilla scent. The ingredients are in Japanese, so I have no idea if it contains botanical emollients or synthetics. |

Good review Miranets. Is Kose a Japanese brand? |

Bushy - yes, I think of it as similar to Kanebo. They both make some high end products and lots of mid-low end products too. |

I got mine fromwww.sasa.com since they are offering no minimum order shipping internationally. I think it is cheapest there too, at $5USD for a tube.
It is also available on Ebay, but it's $25 USD for three tubes - and hard to find too. |

Thanks for the review Miranets! I'm going to drop by Sasa tomorrow and pick one up. At that price, I can't afford not to |

It's no longer listed on the Sasa website and I checked two Sasa stores today, with no luck.
OK, who bought it all? |

I think the only hard to get things there are the various Kose/Kanebo and other Korean/Japanese brand skincare products - they are relatively cheap but not easily found online. Generally those products are normal to above average performers, apart from the fact you have no idea what you are smearing on your skin
Sasa does have very competitive prices on Sisley products though - much MUCH cheaper than Strawberry net.. so that could be worth checking out if you were interested in trying.
Appletini - not me, I only got like 4 You can add the item to the Alerts list and they will inform you when it is back in stock. |

Kose is the maker of Awake skincare/products. I can't wait to try the lip treatment. Thanks for the review! |

miranets,
is this still working for you? i've also got the same problem as you regarding lips that constantly peel. does your lip peel more when you put on lip gloss/lipstick? what brand lip gloss/lipstick do you use? i'm looking for one that won't make my lips peel and the ultimate lip balm to put under it. thanks!

Hiya
I've used an entire stick of this already and my lips have not peeled since I started using this product.
I don't normally use any lipstick or lip gloss, but if I do it is normally Dr Hauschka, or Guerlain lipsticks. I find that if I use them too often my lips begin to peel during the day.

where are you getting it from? it seems that the sasa website is giving this as a free gift with $49 purchase, but you can't buy it individually. sites that sell kose doesn't seem to carry this product. maybe i'll have to buy it from ebay... i'm in california... |

Perhaps they are not selling this anymore..
I know Ebay had a seller that sells 3x for some ridiculous price... keep an eye out on it
Also, Kose make some other low-priced lip balms for around $2-3USD each, I was looking into trying those as well. Perhaps you could try some of those. |
