I rarely post a review about anything but have to on this one product. Paula's Choice spf 30 sunscreen spray. After reading all the rave reviews on the website and being a lover of only spf 15 products, I had to try this spf 30 Ultra Light Weightless Finish sunscreen spray.
It really is ultra light, so much so I wondered if I sprayed anything on my face. This leaves a silicone, matte finish which make putting on cosmetics a dream. No shine, no stickiness, just a clean fresh finish. Unlike Neutrogena's silicone spfs, the PC leaves your skin not dry feeling at all. |

Thanks for the mini review, SusieQ. I am surprised at how many raves it has gotten on her website (as in over 30) and that the only negative comments were from two customers who reacted with rashes and one who felt that the size was disproportionate to the price. Sunscreen is such a tricky product.
It's great that it has CE + Ferulic in it although I don't think I've ever seen "Nordihydroguaiaretic Acid" in a sunscreen before.
Ultra-Light Weightless Finish SPF 30 Sunscreen Spray
Active Ingredients: Octinoxate 7.5.%, Homosalate 6%, Octisalate 5.0%, Oxybenzone 4.5%, Avobenzone 3%, Octocrylene 2.4% (all FDA-approved sunscreen ingredients).
Other Ingredients: Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane (silicone slip agents), Isododecane (dry-finish solvent), Hexyldecanol (skin-conditioning agent), Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (stabilized vitamin C/antioxidant), Nordihydroguaiaretic Acid (plant-based antioxidant), Tocopheryl Acetate (vitamin E/antioxidant), Ferulic Acid (antioxidant), Stearyl Glycyrrhetinate, Bisabolol (anti-irritants).

Hello Havana. My skin type is pretty much normal in the summer, on hot days the t-zone is a bit over active. Definition of that ingred is: Component of some plants that has been shown to have anticancer properties for skin and that may also protect skin from sun damage; also a potent antioxidant (Sources: British Journal of Cancer, April 2002, pages 1188–1196; Molecular Carcinogenesis, June 2002, pages 102–111; and Biochemical Pharmacology, March 2002, pages 1165–1176). |

I'm a huge fan of Paula's Choice products. The ultra-light weightless finish SPF 30 sunscreen spray is by far one of her best products (other star product is the BHA 2% liquid). It leaves little to no shine and you can apply it quickly. Like all of Paula's products it is not fragranced. I also like her SPF 15 skin mattifying lotion. I was not fond of her other sunscreen products though. The only other sunscreen products I have liked have been the Bliss SPF 30 Sunban and the Boscia oil free daily hydration SPF 15 (very expensive though). All other sunscreens I've tried have been way too heavy on my skin or have broken me out. I've learned a lot from Paula's books and website about what is good for skin and what constitutes skin irritating ingredients. |

it has avobenzone in it, isnt that the one that will go off if use any mineral products over it for e.g. mineral face powders? |

It's fine to use MMU over avobenzone, as long as it has fully absorbed first, so about 30 minutes. |

I have sensitive combination skin that tends to break out quickly. I like a lot of Paula's products, I also have the SPF30 spray but I don't like the consistency of silicone's on my face, so I only use it for the rest of my body.
What I realy adore for my face though is the Essential Non-Greasy Sunscreen SPF15. It immediately sinks in your skin, doesn't leave a greasy finish but really moisturizes your skin so that your skin feels very soft. |
