| I dont wear mascara everyday because it is such a pain to take off.I use Ponds to take it off but it takes forever to really clean my lashes to make sure all the mascara is off,it takes longer for me to take it off than to put my makeup on which is why I dont wear it often.Can anyone recommend a really good fast mascara remover? |

baby oil, mineral oil or othr skin/eye friendly oil.
Apply with finger tips, let soak a minute or two. Gently rub oilled lashs lightly between fingertips. Wash off with cleanser of choice, and a washcloth or microfiber cloth. |

| Mineral Melt by Pur Minerals. I get mine at Ulta, works unlike any other oil based cleanser or eye make up remover to take mascara off. When I rinse, I don't even have racoon eyes. It's also suppose to be good for your lashes. |

I use castor oil in the (illusory) idea that it will help embellish my lashes!  |

| Clinique Take the Day Off is a very nice eye makeup remover (oil based) ... it takes mascara off very well. |

| I use Almay eye makup remover pads -- they work great. Then I do oil cleansing (which I do anyway). I rarely have mascara residue left after this. |

| I use baby oil ever since the brand of eye makeup remover pads that I had been using for years became almost impossible to find. Works perfectly for me and doesn't burn my eyes the way Sephora's eye makeup remover does. |

Does it take off waterproof mascara? I find that it's difficult to take off with cleansing oil. I have to spend ages rubbing my eyelashes and eye area to get it all off. Then afterward, I just feel blind from all the cleansing oil getting in my eyes! |

oh oh, we have a mascara remover in japan that actually is like a mascara... you brush it on and wait 10 seconds or whatever and then just use a damp cotton pad to whisk off... I actually have one here but have never even opened it cuz I dont need with the mascara I use..   |

| Definitely either Dermalogica Pre-cleanse or my fav Decleor Cleansing Oil. I haven't yet found anything more quick & effective then those 2 products. |

| Well I am going to try a few of those suggestions,I just worry I will lose a lot of lashes when I take off the mascara,sometimes I have to use 10 kleenexes because there is always black residue left on and I like to get them really clean. |

I liked Jason Organics makeup-remover pads when I used mascara. They were cheap, effective AND natural.

| I just use l'oreal makeup remover for eyes and lips. It works well with waterproof makeup. |

| Maybe you could try cotton balls or flat cotton squares instead of kleenex. They're much softer on your eyes and the cotton will hold more of the product against your lashes than the kleenex can and facilitate removal of the mascara. |

Thanks to manslayerliz, I have found that Bliss Lid + Lash Wash is an amazing (gel) eye makeup remover. It feels like gelatinous water (not too thin, not too thick) and it seems to stay out of the eyes really well and not cause clouding like I've found with oil products.
First I apply my cleansing oil all over my face (inluding under my eyes) and then using my fingers, I gently rub Lid + Lash Wash on my eye lids and lashes, letting it sit for a little bit while I finish rubbing my face with the cleansing oil. Then I go back and continue rubbing gently on my lids/lashes. I don't ever use waterproof mascara so I can't speak to how well it removes that type of mascara, but on water soluble mascara it works like a dream, and rinses clean, too! No oily reside.
Its $22 for 8.5 oz. which is a lot of product. However, I cannot pronounce most of the ingredients in it!
Ingredients: water (aqua), butylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, poloxamer 184, sodium acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, disodium lauroamphodiacetate, sodium trideceth sulfate, phenoxyethanol, methylparaben, tetrasodium edta, hexylene glycol, sodium citrate, fragrance(parfum) |
