I just got the TCA Latte from Julie today. She was great and sent a bunch of awesome samples! But I'm not really sure how to use (or if I can use) my other products with the Latte. I plan on using the TCA Latte nightly to augment my monthly Jessners peels. Can I use my other products on my face with the latte... I use copper serum & alphaderma at night, and then vit C & Alphaderma in the am. Can I still use eye cream??? What about HA??? I'm completely clueless and would love some direction!!! TIA |

Can you email her and ask these questions? |

I can (and will), but she is remodeling her house and is without email for a couple of weeks. I am impatient and like immediate gratification (completely off topic I know) so I thought I would pick the brains of folks on here! |

I've only casually heard of this product... I did a board search and it wasn't terribly helpful since I don't want to sort through page after page, so I was hoping you'd spare me the torture and tell me a little about this product? I'm having a TCA peel next month so I'm more than a little curious about what this is!
Thanks |

You might try posting your question on the chemical peel message board at makemeheal. One of the moderators, I believe Lekat, seems to know a lot about peels. They have also had discussions about this particular peel on that board. |

From everything I've read, Julie's products are kind of unique, as is her approach to skincare. If you're using her stuff I WOULD NOT take casual advice from people who are not familiar with her products.
No question, she's your best source of info, but if you have trouble getting in touch with her because of the logistics of her personal situation, go over to the skin interactive board ( http://skininteractive.proboards28.com/index.cgi ) There are several members there who are longtime users of her products and reading their posts will give you a much better handle on how to use the TCA latte, etc. |

Chrissie,
Katee gives good advice, from what i remember Julie saying on her site, there's a lot of products you can't combine. There are longtime users on the SI board katee provided a link to, who are very helpful. Here is the link to specific topics for perfect complexion:

Chrissie,
I was just looking at the TCA Latte last night. I'm extremely interested in how it works for you. I was concerned that in the FAQ section of Julie's site, she says that it is best to discontinue the use of other products as you try her line to get the best results. I really don't want to discontinue using my regular products. |

I agree, I don't want to quit using my Vit C, CP, etc. I love Alphaderma and what it does for my skin, so not using that will be hard for me. I used the Latte last night and this morning. I haven't applied it yet tonight. My face does feel tight, but no peeling yet (I didn't expect it to so soon). I'll let you know what I decide to do about using the other products... |

Chrissie, may I ask what skin issues you are hoping to address by using the TCA Latte? I'm interested in this product as well, but need to do a lot more research as to what I can hope to expect from it. TIA! |

I too ordered the TCA Latte after caving in to the raves on the other boards but have no idea how to incorporate it into my current routine which also includes retinoids and Vit C. I've used it on and off for the past 2 weeks and have experienced no peeling but red skin the next morning probably because I over-applied (as I'm wont to do when it comes to new exciting skin care products). Julie did mention that I shouldn't use it together with the HA soy and the Collagen Peptide serum both of which I got as well since I'll be feeding the "dead protein" shed by the TCA latte. However, my skin feels awfully taut and dry with the Latte alone and I couldn't stand it after just a couple of minutes and went on to apply my own serums/lotions. That may impede the result of the Latte and now I'm at a total lost. Hope you get some good insight! I sure need help with this as well. |

As a "Product Ho'", the first issue was ~ I didn't have this product.
I read alot about exfoliation and the benefits of peels. So last month, I purchased Jessners peel, and some 20% TCA for CROSS method for some chicken pox scars on my forehead. In one of the forum posts about the TCA cross method, someone wrote that they were using the Latte. After reading about it, I found that it is basically idiot-proof. I don't think you can leave it on too long, but you can cause serious skin damage with other TCA.
My goal is to just turn my skin cells over faster. But it is also important to me to be able to incorporate other products into my Latte routine. |

I know Julie says that you have to eliminate all other products, but I would take this with a grain of salt. It's often the case when someone develops a treatment, they become zealots! Obviously, I think you should take what she says seriously, but I think you also have to evaluate it. It was why I suggested checking out the other board. It's always useful to get the assessment of people who have actually used a product. As I recall, some of the women their use her stuff, but do not use it to the exclusion of other things.... |

Aaahhh, yes, needing to get the newest product is a very valid consideration! I'm right there with you on that!

Sounds good to me on both counts! However, if I use this product and have to come back on EDS and report that I burned all my skin off, I'm going to feel like such a fool! |
