One of my clients is doing it for me and boy am I nervous! I hear it hurts like fire! I want to get the most out of it and recover as quick as possible, so if you have any recommendations for after care, please let me know!
Thanks,

I have only done 15% TCA peels on myself - I found that it barely stung at all, probably because it wasn't a high percentage. I didn't have any redness and no downtime at all - my skin did peel after about 4 days but it wasn't a big drama.
For after care, it is recommended to use an antibiotic cream and an anti-itch cream, if your skin becomes itchy - mine didn't. I used the antibiotic cream immediately after the peel but then switched to emu oil. Your skin does become very "tight" afterwards and I found the emu oil more "nourishing" than the antibiotic cream. Also, emu oil is recommended for burns so I think its very suitable for post-peel skins. My instructions said not to wear makeup whilst skin is peeling, but I did. I just applied a little MMU to make me feel more human!
Most important thing is to wear sunscreen. I'm sure you'll be very happy with results. All the best. |

Thanks so much for your reply! She did a 25% TCA on me and it definitely stung! She did around my eyes first, which was the worst part, and then the rest of my face. She left it on a little longer around the eyes, but not longer than a minute. She wanted me to see what it was like at first and then we'll go longer next time. I was pink around the eyes at first, but now I'm ok. I guess I'll start to see the results (peeling/brown) more towards Saturday.
I will definitely take pictures of my progress to share with those of you who are intersted!
