hi Guys
I'm a newbie to using Retin A and was just wondering does anyone else just use the product for under the eyes?

I follow the directions of waiting 30 mins after washing my face before retin-a application. My routine is as follows:
Wash, Tone, Wait 30 Mins, Apply Retin-A, Apply Vitamin C serum, Apply Night Moisturizer.
Sometimes, I buffer retin-a with my serum. I use a pea-size amount to a bit more to cover my whole face. It has this weird glue smell.
Immediate effect: glowing skin 
I will update this post how it will affect my skin in the next 3-4 months. |

You should use the smallest dosage under and around eyes to start as retin A can be extremely drying and your skin could peel. But it does help thicken the skin under eyes so if you have darkness it will help with that as well as improve fine lines. Retin A is also good on the lid. Hot N Flashy did a Youtube video where she showed before & after pics of her eyes and her eyelids were significantly lifted giving her a more open eyed look. So you might want to consider using the smallest dose all around the eye.
Incidently, I know everyone always says to put retin A on first, wait a while then apply serums & creams but Allure has had two articles in the past year where derms said to reverse the application because retin-A applied last pushed the other products deeper into the skin so your skin benefited more from all the products. |

I should try using it on the inner corners of my lids, upper and lower, where there is a blue-ish shadow. Maybe apply with a fine brush so it doesn't go into my eye. I'd be afraid to put it on the upper eyelid. Perhaps Hot and Flashy put it on the part of the lid above the crease -- between crease and brow.
Now I just put it on the orbital lower bone/top of cheekbones. |

| Will Retin A mixed with eye cream be effective? Of course I realize you must be careful to keep it out of your eyes? I was looking for Retinol eye and lip products and thought I could just use my Retin A mixed with the eye and lip products. I'm wondering if certain chemicals will make retinol inactive. |

It should still be effective mixed with another cream. Although that does buffer it and make it less strong. Frankly, I think a milder version would be better for the sensitive eye area. I do apply around my eyes, but not quite as frequently as other areas. |

I apply retin A under my eyes but use it on my entire face. I figure if it rejuvenates skin then it can and should be applied all over. Retin A was suggested to me by a derm to be applied everywhere and during the past 30 years its never let me down!

Out of interest - why do you avoid eye area? Retin A can be used anywhere?

With regular use of retinoids, it does help build up your skin and tolerate more.
I don't use moisturizer on daily or weekly basis, and that does help the retinoid do a better job. |

Which retin-A do you use on your eyelids? I need help with that skin, its very orange peel-like. I use my microdermabraision machine on them and it helps somewhat. |
