I bought this cream a week ago being desperate for a new moisturizer. I have very dehydrated normal-combination skin, and have trouble finding a day cream that will give enough moisture without greasiness.
The Quince cream resembles in texture, colour and smell lemon custard...dosen't taste anything like it though (just had to try ). It goes on easily, but needs a few min. to sink in properly before make-up (works well under my BE foundation). It leaves skin with a soft shine (not greasy) so if you are looking for a matte finish this is not it. (Ocasionally I will press a soft tissue on my face a few min. after application to remove shine) It doesn't irritate my skin.
I like this a lot and will recommend to those with normal and/or dehydrated skin, but oily skintypes might want to stay away |

I would say that this should also be suitable for some people with combination skin. I have this cream and my skin varies between normal and combo. I've had no problems with it so far, in fact I really like it. |

i'm also using the quince day cream and love it. it is very light and smells great, and goes on well with good coverage. and while it is light i also feel really well moisturised with it, sometimes i have to blot off a little shine by the middle of the day too!
all in all a nice product for combination/normal skin.

I have been using the Rose Day Cream, and switched to the Quince because I found that the Rose left me with a little too much shine. The Quince cream is perfect -- rich, but not difficult to spread, and I find that I'm able to use quite a lot without feeling greasy. This sinks in nicely and leaves my skin feeling baby soft. The perfect Dr. H. moisturizer for me! |

Ooooohh...thanks so much for the rave reviews. I was eyeing the Quince cream last time I was in Sephora but just wasn't sure. Will have to put it on my "to try" list.
Thanks! |

I'm using this in the mornings nowadays. It was more or less forced (I didn't want it to go bad as I've had it for a while) but I have now rediscovered it and am loving it at the moment. It's not a WOW product for me (haven't yet found a moisturiser that is) but it moisturises well without being too thick, and doesn't make my face shiny half way through the day. |

The Quince and Rose ones are my favourites of the creams DR H has in the line. I love the scent and richness of the Rose Cream but find it too heavy for the summer. I wish the Quince cream smelled like the Rose cream because if it did it would be my top pick as the texture and feel is great and it adds enough moisture without feeling too heavy or leaving your skin looking oily. |

I love love love this. Smells fresh, sinks in right away, moisturizes beautifully without feeling heavy. I feel like my pores can breathe and have received many compliments since using Dr H. products. I get no oily residue after using quince cream in the morning after cleansing with cleansing milk. |

Love the Quince Cream, it smells divine. I would say that this is probably more suitable for normal and slightly combo skin types. It's alot lighter than Rose Cream but still very creamy.
I don't think you'd need to use much. I used to mix the rythmic conditioners or toner with the Quince Cream or Rose Cream to make the consistency lighter and less creamy. The Day Lotion is the lightest and smells lovely as well, very clean, fresh herbal scent. I do love Dr. Hauschka! |

I have combination skin and have found the approach that Wildflower mentioned, Quince in the summer and Rose in the winter, works beautifully.
As an aside, I like that the facial moisturizers in the Dr. H line have a complementary body moisturizer. (Right now I'm using the Rose Day Cream, the Rose Body Moisturizer, and Weleda Wild Rose Deodorant and LOVING how well the scents blend together.) |

Contrary to the Dr. H recommendations (not to use a night cream), I use the rose cream at night, and the quince cream in the daytime. So far it is working, although I am looking for another night cream. The rose cream is good for my recovering skin (dry, flaky), but wonder if it causes some of the congestion that I am having! |

Yeah, I have to confess to using the Rose Cream at night as well. I just couldn't get accustomed to the Dr. H recommendation to go completely without a night cream. |

I wanted to love the Quince cream but its the only product in this line my skin does not like, I tested it on my neck and almost immediately saw a red patch developing, its a shame really because sometimes the Rose is just too much and I had high hopes for the Quince as a "lighter alternative". |

The quince cream is one of many products I started out loving and ending up hating. Never really got used to the smell, but when my skin dried out while the cream floated on top I had enough. In all fairness, it was nice the first week or two, but after that my skin couldn't handle all the alcohol anymore. Too bad it is used so much in natural/organic skincare. |

Just wondering if you've tried the Moisturizing Day Cream. I've tried samples of it and considered purchasing it for occasions when I wanted something lighter than the Rose Day Cream. |

I'm a new user of Dr. H products after trying the sample pack for dry skin. The Day moisturizing cream was the product my skin liked least! After buying the larger sizes, my skin now reacts to the cleansing milk! So, I'm a bit on the fence as to whether Dr. H will be my HG or not! |

Althought I love the entire line, this is the one product I cannot use. I thought it would be a great alternative to the Rose Creme when my skin does not need so much moisture but when I tried it out on my neck, it broke me out so fast I knew I could never put it on my face, shame. |
