This is the BEST masque, I absolutely it. Very nutritious and yummy for the face. Like the name implies, the first 2 ingredients are carrot juice and carrot pulp. I first tried it at a spa during a facial and back facial, and just had to get it. Seriously it smells exactly like carrot cake. It comes in a jar with a spatula, and it is a very thick pale orange masque with strange seeds in it that I assume must be the Linseed in it Not only does it smell like you can eat it, but I swear it seemed to make my pores tighter and less visible and felt so good-- nice and soothing. You have to use Eminence products in a year because they are fresh, but that shouldn't be a problem because the way I feel about this mask, this small jar is not going to last me long. Eminence products are organic, handmade in Hungary, and made in small batches. |

Oh Thoughtcrime.... what are you doing to me?! Right after I promised myself to cut down on skincare too!
Do you know if Eminence Organics sell any starter kits by any chance?

Mabsy, I'm not sure if they have a starter set, but they sell gift boxes (very nicely packaged I might add) for dry, oily, or normal skin. It comes with cleanser, exfoliator, mask, and moisturizer. For you, the "normal skin" one would probablty be appropriate. The website iswww.eminenceorganics.com

Wish EDS carried this line
It's hard for me to get here. I can't order from the company directly because I don't have a license, and the spa I get it from has had to special order products for me as they don't retail the whole line yet. |

Thanks for that Thoughtcrime. Silly me, didn't see the "travel set" link The normal skin set sounds good, can't find any prices though. I'll probably wait and see if EDS ever decides to carry this
Interestingly, these products must be available in Canada because looking at eBay listings, they often originate from there. Btw there is one of those gift sets on eBay at the moment but it's not the normal skin one (I think it might be for oily skins actually).

Mabsy,
I know unfortunately they don't list prices because you have to have a spa or estethician license to purchase. If you call their 1-800 # they will refer you to a spa that carries it. It's a super mask that retails for about $44 U.S. |

I just tried this mask last night (thanks Thoughtcrime for enabling my beauty junkie habits! ).
This is a really good mask even though it looks terrible (and hilarious) when it's on. It is quite thick and I found it hard to spread (though I have since got tips on making that easier). Because of that I ended up with an orange face that had larger chunks of orange gunk in places. Let's just say that it got plenty of laughs and didn't look very appetizing I also left it on for too long (my mistake). I left it on for half an hour - online shopping really makes the time go fast! - and then had trouble taking it off because of this Once I got it off though my skin was soft and smooth, and kinda perky too (I mean less tired looking, fresher). I also love the smell of the mask as well, a pleasant sweet smell.
I ended up buying this, as well as the rose cleanser and the pumpkin&orange mask (haven't tried the latter two). Will report back! |

The Eminence Carrot Vitamin Masque is wonderful! It has a unique scent that is totally yummy without being overpowering. And on top of that, it does fabulous things for your skin.
As with most Eminence masks, it is a little hard to spread, but once it's on your skin and warms up a bit, it isn't too bad. I also found this mask to more difficult than most other Eminence masks to rinse off with just water, so I use a microfiber cloth to remove it completely.
It leaves my skin soft, radiant (not rosy or the least bit pink -- I try to stay away from those type of masks because I don't want to encourage any more redness in my skin) and nicely hydrated. It's very soothing and calming to the skin and senses; it's one of those masks that just makes you feel good.

I ordered it from EDS a week ago and I can't hardly wait to try it out. Does anyone have any tips on how to spread it out easily? |

I scoop some onto my fingers and then give it a couple of spritzes with my Avene thermal water spray. That helps a bit. Once it's on your face though, it spreads more easily that you would expect given the consistency when you first take some out of the jar.
You'll love it! |

Thanks! Is it very moisturizing? Does it leave a film on your face? I find the 2 hydrating/moisturzing masks I've tried leave a film on my face |

The Eminence masques are not the easiest to remove. I think that unless you use a cloth, you will have a film left on your skin. I just rinse a few times, swipe a cloth over my face a couple of times, rinse again and all traces of the mask are completely gone -- no film at all. Have you tried that with the masks that you already have? |

I've tried that trick with my other masks, but by the time I rinse my face "clean", my skin feels taut and tight again. I'm not sure if it's just the masks I'm using or it's my skin being so dehydrated that whatever I put on, my skin still feels tight.
FYI - I'm currently using Phytomer HydraContinue and Osea White Algae Mask. I tried Decleor Hydra Floral mask before but it was the worst product ever. God, I don't even wanna think about it. |

That's puzzling. I don't know what else to suggest -- sorry!
You know, I've been eyeing the Osea White Agae Mask -- what do you think of it? |

I've only used it once, so I can't really say much. I like it enough and will use it up. It goes on quite dry. My face felt soft after I washed it off, but I didn't see any hydrating effect at all. My face still felt tight afterwards. |
