Well, my quest for that perfect lavender scent finally ended when I found out that Candy makes her lavender perfumes with a very high-quality french lavender oil. However, I didn't know which manifestation of it I would like the best, so I went ahead and ordered the solid scent, the aloe silk spray, AND the roll-on scent. The verdict? I like them all! I have found that besides being a gorgeous solid perfume, the solid scent is also a wonderful cuticle cream (goodness knows I need it this time of the year!). And the Aloe Silk Spray--- MEIN GOTT, there are so many uses for it! For one thing, I mist my sheets and pillow with it before I go to bed to help me drift off to sleep. However, the best use I've found for it so far (besides just wearing it as a body splash^-^) is on my face! I know, I know, normally I would NEVER condone putting any kind of perfume or body spray on one's face, but here are the ingredients:
Aloe Juice, Witch Hazel, Polysorbate 20, Lavender Essential Oil, Vitamin E, Liquid Silk Protein. I got the idea to use it on my face because after using Nuturderm's Triple Lavender Face Foam I realized that my skin really loves lavender. So, the other day after badgering a clogged pore too much and subsequently causing swelling and redness, I spritzed some of the Lavender Aloe Silk spray onto a cotton ball and applied it to the damaged area, and it really helped with both the swelling and the redness. I also too it with me today when I got my eyebrows and upper lip waxed, and after the waxing was done I again spritzed some on a cotton ball and applied it to the affected areas, and again, it really helped with the redness. If you are only wanting a beautiful, perfect lavender perfume, I think the roll-on scent actually captures the scent the best, however, if you are looking for a great multi-use beauty product, you will love both the solid scent and the aloe silk spray! |

Thanks for the usage tips manslayerliz.
I have Candy's solids in Rose and Pink Sugar. I am so impressed. The staying power of these solids is excellent. Love the packaging as I can take them with me and refresh the scent when I find the need.
Now Paris......don't tease us . Name of scent please. |

No name for this scent...that's how new it is.
Imagine walking through a forest, at dawn just after a spring rain. Spicy, mysterious...
Whoo hoo!
It's not ready for consumption yet...still in development.
Stay tuned!
Sorry Candy, couldn't keep it in...it's just too good! Please don't kick my butt, too hard anyway. I blame Liz for this post ! <hides behind couch>. |

Well, I just thought I should give an update here. My sister and I just took a trip to visit our Grandmother in Texas. The last time we were there the mosquitos literally ate us alive! I had read that those little buggers are repelled by lavender though, so this time I came prepared and brought Candy's Lavender Silk spray with me, and my sister and I applied it all over, 3 times a day. We even misted our faces with it! We did in fact see quite a few mosquitos buzzing around during our trip, but neither one of us got bit even one time--- how do you like that? And we smell great, too! Thanks, Candy! |

Wow! Now this is something I have got to take note of!!!
To be honest, I'm not fond of lavendar fragrances but the fact is that there could be 25 people sitting in a group and ONE LONELY MOSQUITO. That mosquito will leave everyone else alone and bite ME 100 times! I am a mosquito magnet and I find the scent of citronelle absolutely nauseating. I'm not a lavendar lover, but I don't dislike it either. If it keeps the biting buggers at bay, I'm betting I could learn to love it. |

I adore lavender in all its forms and uses.
This is just a teeny bit OT -- lavender sprigs on the table keep flies away when you're eating outdoors (or indoors, for that matter, if they happen to get inside).

Lavender in ur closet, even fresh from healthfood store, sprinkled on floor works as moth repelent....and besides smells great, so a spray might work even better... |

Yeah, I love it in my linens and in closets for that very reason--smells purtier than naptha. Just love the stuff. |
