Not exactly related to makeup/skincare but i couldn't resist!
One of the young Chinese girls beside me just got proposed to! Ring is huge and flowers are beautiful pick roses wrapped in pink tulle.
Her and her fiancé are both blushing like crazy but it’s pretty sweet to see them stammering and stuttering….
i feel honored to be a witness to this wonderful event!!! |

i'm glad someone is happy for them. I just got roundly told off for mentioning her race in the post somewhere else.
I only did so because she was talking about planning a traditional chinese wedding and we are all excited about learning the details...i guess you had to be here.
So, if anyone else is unhappy because i mentioned her race, i'm very sorry and will henceforth call her "my fellow human female co-worker". |

Instead of "Skin care and Makeup Forum" the thread would rather fit into "EDS Lounge" ... |

i thougt of that after but i couldn't move it..
Mods: could you please delete this thread for me? It may be offensive to some and i didn't intend that at all. I think it would be better over all if the thread was entirely gone.
Thanks and i'm very sorry for causing trouble. Again it was not my intention. |

Aww, I think it's sweet when love is involved and we get excited. Heaven forbid we should become so politically correct that we forget love conquers all. I think your intent shows through, don't worry. I'll bet the wedding will be beautiful, a traditional Chinese wedding. How wonderful, and best wishes to all.
I don't know how to use the "quote" feature, but I think your good feelings shine through in your own words: i feel honored to be a witness to this wonderful event!!! |

Rosy, it's obvious that you're excited for her and just want to spread her happiness. She's lucky to have a friend like you who can share her joy in this occasion.
Adding my congratulations and best wishes to them both.

p.s. In my humble opinion, "PC-ness" has been carried to the point of "BS-ness" when you can't even discuss the fascinating differences in cultures, customs and traditions. |

I think you shared your joy with us of a moment which made you happy. All too often we only hear bad news. I could feel your pleasure in what happened. Thanks for sharing.
Honestly I coud not see anything offensive in what you wrote. Anyone who thought it was must be one sad MF who needs to get a life.

That is such a sweet thing to happen on any given. Yes, 4sons, I was beginning to wonder if love exists as well. |

thank you all for your nice comments. I will pass on the good wishes to her...i appreciate that P/C does not conquer all...i guess some people react without thinking(especially those who always have a lot to say anyway).
Anyway, we are all thrilled to bits here for her |
