Has anyone tried this Canadian pro-line of cosmetics? I've been hearing really good reviews about their foundation, and it's something that I'm personally interested in trying. Hey, if it's good enough for Madonna, it's good enough for me!
Re: Madonna. Her 1990 Blonde Ambition tour was cosmetically outfitted by then unknown M.A.C Frank Toskan created the Russian Red lipstick for Madonna to wear during the tour.
Therefore, if Madge was onto something seventeen years ago with M.A.C, and has just toured using Face Atelier, we may see another Canadian cosmetic hit on our hands! |

I haven't tried it myself, but my sister had ordered their foundation and the Zero Minus. From what I recall, she liked it enough but I think she found Prescriptives Flawless Skin and it's now her favourite. I've wanted to try some of Facetalier's eyeshadows and blush, but haven't yet. I think it's pretty cool they are a Calgary company and would like to support them down the road. |

I just got an email about this company too. I'm interested in the Sculpt mascara. |

I have to try this foundation after reading more about it on some makeup artist forum! They are also cruelty free . It has a large chance of breaking me out but if it looks and lasts a nice as people say it might be a good 'special occasion' foundation.
Thanks Caspers Mum.

Re: Cruelty Free.
Indeed, most of their items are suitable for vegans to wear, with the exception of a few (shimmery) products. These are highlighted on their website.
I understand that their foundation is offers a nicer finish & texture than Armani foundation , and the Transforming Gel is apparently awesome too. |

AWESOME STUFF! FACEatelier was on my "wish list" for EDS! The foundation is gorgeous - the primer is "built in" it kind of feels like it floats onto the skin when you apply it. The FACEatelier Ultra Sheer Pro is gorgeous as well...not too shimmery....nice and transluscent - and believable...you don't look like a sparkle Barbie when you wear it. The zero/minus-zero/plus is a godsend for custom blending...and like the regular foundation, it feels like it floats onto the skin when you apply it. For me, a drop of the "plus" (the dark shade) and three drops of the minus (the light shade) and TA-DA! a foundation colour that is perfectly me:D..While I'm currently loving Laura Mercier's mineral foundation I'd still use FACEatelier's foundation in a heartbeat. DEFINITELY worth a shot if you haven't tried it yet! Oh ya, I almost forgot, "RIGHT ON, CANADA!"

Wow - that is great! Caspers Mum - I am still hoping that EDS will bring FACEatelier on board... is there any chance?

I just ordered 6 color samples today and a sample of the plus and minus.
They charge only $1.00 per sample and the shipping to Toronto was pretty good.
Not knowing what color I would be I thought the samples would be a great idea and then I can chose the right shade from one of them. |

I wonder if FACE ATELIER has any affiliation with FACE STOCKHOLM, whose boutique I used to frequent in New York City. They used to be located in SoHo, but now have a newer boutique in the Shops @ Columbus Circle...
Loved it! |

No affiliation whatesoever. Deb Bondar is the CEO/creator of FACE atelier, and the company is four years-old. FACE atelier is 100% Canadian
Kindly note that I'm wearing their foundation today, and have received FOUR compliments on my "amazing", "smoothe", "gorgeous", "flawless"skin since this morning. |

So I've been using my samples the last three days and this is what I have come up with:
-The foundation feels great going on and a little goes a long way. I love that it's scent free. It doesn't cling
to hair or accentuate my pores and the coverage if medium to full; in my case(acne and redness) I'd say the coverage is medium. I know it's too early to tell but it doesn't seem like it's going to break me out. However, it gets shiny fast in my t-zone and therefore prone to a little bit of slipping. Also, porcelain was way too dark but that was easily fixed with the addition of some of the minus foundation (what an amazing concept!). I'm really not sure if I'm going to order a full size. I think I'm going to go to a local lady who makes custom foundation and see how that goes first.
-I've been setting the foundation with their translucent loose powder (though I thought I was getting a sample of the pressed). This is finely milled and truly translucent... not much else to say.
-The Lip Putty is so soft! I don't wear lipstick so I don't know how well it works for its intended purpose, but I'd love to use this as a daily chap stick...just a matter of talking myself into paying the $18 for it. It is really lovely though!
-Transforming Gel works really well and keeps the loose eyeshadow on all day (mixed it with Precious Metals eyeshadow in Sand).
*this picture was taken right after I opened my package and just threw it on out of excitement so it's kind of all over the place ... (I can't believe I actually just payed to get my eyebrows waxed and they still look messy)*

I had emailed them regarding my shipment and never heard from them!
I would think that being a relatively small company they don't have many people in their customer service department if they have one at all.
I did like their foundation but not my HG! |
