Hey guys, I was just wondering if you knew or heard anything about this.

I met my friend's cat a week ago. He said a few weeks ago that he had her spayed. A week ago, when I saw her, she was thin everywhere but her tummy. She has a HUGE pouch there. I have seen many pregnant cats, and I turned around and said "I think your kitty may be preggers". I mean her little kitty nips are large and swollen too.

I did a little research, and found that sometimes vets only remove the ovaries, so is it possible that she was a "little" pregnant when they did it, and the kitties survived?

I'm trying to get him to take her to the vet, but he doesn't think this is possible. I just saw her again this week, and she's even bigger than before. He said that she is eating him out of house and home as well.

He is starting to change his mind about the vet, because I think he finally sees what I'm talking about.

I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about this, because the last thing he needs is for her to pop, and be totally unprepared. I'm sure he wouldn't have the slightest idea of what to do.

Meanwhile, tomorrow I'm going to try to cajole him to the vet's again..... Rolling Eyes

Sounds like he needs to get ready to be a "family" man. I just hope that the anesthesia the vet used didn't harm the kittens.

..If I were in your position and the fella decided against taking the cat to the vet, I'd just take the cat. I'd steal the cat and take her to the vet if I had to. Please let us know what happens (and Im serious: steal the cat and bring her to the vet if you have to!!)

I'm going to check up on her tomorrow, and try to "assess" the situation! If she still looks about ready to pop......I dunno. I guess I will have to Kitty-jack! Laughing

This is going to sound silly but I was told this by cat a breeder years ago and for some reason never forgotten it. If the cat's teats are pink she is pregnant if they are more of a pale/white colour she isn't. Hope this helps. BTW every pregnant cat I've met had pink teats!

One thing I forgot to mention is that cats do have false pregnancies and they show all the usual signs of being pregnant.

Must be a false pregnancy. He said he had her spayed 4 months ago, in January. Kitty gestational period is about 2 months, and one week. So.... it has to be impossible, or false preggers. Her nipples are sooooo protruded and pink. Shock It's strange. So, unless the spay was a fake, or not done all the way Confused ....quite impossible!

That shouldn't be if it's been that long. Cat needs to go to the vet in my opinion.
