Hii... I'm sure there's a thread on this already, but I was wondering if there was a really good and most importantly, CHEAP, leave in conditioner out there??? My hair is FRIED and I think I just need the extra help of a daily leave in conditioner. Any suggestions??? Thanks in advance for any help x) |

Your best bet for a cheap effective leave-in may be to go to a beauty supply store, such as Sally Beauty Supply. I have had great results with John Masters Organics Citrus & Neroli detangler (sold at EDS) -- I use it as a leave in and it's very moisturizing and great at detangling, too. |

Kiehl's has a leave-in conditioner, which is not bad. |

hi, marci65. I am interested about John Masters Organics Citrus & Neroli Detangler. Since its can be rinse well or leave in, i would like to know the texture of its. I would like to leave in after clean the hairs, but a little bit worry about the texture of the product / feeling. |

This isn't a leave in, but I think it will make a big difference in how your hair feels and looks: L'Oreal Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture Nurturing Cream. You can get this at Sally Beauty for around $12 for the large jar. I put this on my hair, wrap it up in a bag or a towel, and leave it on while I do household chores or whatever.
Another one you might want to try, since you said "fried" and this stuff is thicker than those little mist bottles that are other leave-ins, is Charles Worthington Results Moisture Seal. You shampoo your hair like normal, remove excess water, and then goop this stuff into your hair and leave it there, unlike other conditioners that you would rinse out. This runs $5.99 at Walgreens.

I second John Master Organics citrus and neroli detangler. It is a light lotion texture, almost fluffy...it doesn't make the hair greasy. |

Giovanni Direct Leave-In Conditioner gets really good reviews over at MUA. I've never tried it, but I've recently added it to my list as it seems like an awesome product. Here are the ingredients:
Aqua (purified water), Rosemary (Rosmarinus Officinalis) Oil, Nettle (Urtica Dioica) oil, Thyme (Thymus Vulgaris) Oil, Birch Leaf (butela alba) oil, Chamomile (anthemis nobilis flower) oil, Clary (salvia sclarea), Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia), Coltsfoot leaf (tussilago fargara), Yarrow (Achillea Millefolium) Oil, Mallow (Malya Sylvestris), Horsetail (Equisetum arvense) oil, Soybean Protein (Glycine Soja), Cetyl Alcohol (plant derived), Tocopherol (*Vitamin E), Trace Minerals, Citric Acid (corn), Sodium Hydroxymethlyglucinate, Grapefruit Seed (citrus derived) |

Great thread! I so need a leave-in conditioner. I will be eyeing the JMO Neroli Detangler when I am ready to order from EDS. The Giovanni is not bad either. I think Vitacost got it. |

Biolage Hydrating Leave-in Creme. This stuff is fantastic. Split ends stay away and your hair is soft. Kinda pricey, but it last a long time. |

My favorite is Giovanni direct leave-in conditioner. An organic product that's a reasonable price! ($8US/8.5 fl. oz. bottle)
It can be hard to find (I buy mine from my health food store), but I'm sure you could buy it online. |

Does JM Citrus & Neroli contain any silicones? |

Check out this link to the product. The ingredients don't seem to contain cones. I'm going to buy this and tweezerman. |

Thanks C! I've been co-washing and it's been SO hard to find cone free conditioners locally. I'm not sure if you know this, but by the Thai law, companies aren't required to give a full ingredients list. I've seen LOADS of Boots conditioners with just 2 ingredients on their ingredients lists! It's ridiculous. Although I like WEN, I don't wanna have to keep repurchasing online and pay for the shipping cost every month. Plus WEN isn't exactly cheap. Ok, enough ranting. I'm just looking for a cone free conditioner I can co-wash with and also use as a leave in conditioner. I'll give JM a try and see how it goes. |

Hi!
You really don't need a separate leave in conditioner. After you condition your hair, put a dime sized amount of your favorite conditioner in your palm and massage it into your hair, especially at the ends, and leave it in. It will not weigh down your hair and will give you the extra conditioner that you are looking for.
I will also agree that a good hair mask would also be helpful to you. I have used a couple and do like the BioElements hair mask. Although I had purchased it here in the past it seems hard to find outside of Ebay...
Take care.

Giovanni Vitapro Fusion Leave-in Hair Treatment.
It comes in a spray. It's very light and doesn't leave a film. |

Seconding the Weleda Rosemary Hair Oil recommendation. Also, I'd suggest Dr. Hauschka Neem Hair Oil. It's a treatment, not a leave-in conditioner, but for me it's a lifesaver when my hair gets really frazzled. |

My favorites that aren't too, too expensive are Nexxus Humectress (small amount can be used as a leave-in) and Framesi Biogenol Moist-In. Also, I agree with the poster above -- L'oreal Nature's Therapy line is great and fairly reasonably priced. I LOVE their Unfrizz Taming Creme as an additional leave-in/styling product! |

I am interested about " John Masters Organics Citrus & Neroli Detangler" in the beginning. However, i have curly hair. Lastly, i have bought "Aveda Be Curly". I think it can provide nutrient for the hair, and make the shape more long-lasting. I have tried a week. It is great. |
