This morning the mail comes and I get a package at the back door. My skin-etc order of ji liquid minerals, ji disappear coverup, and ji eyeshadow in dawn. Then I go out this afternoon and there's a package at my front door, my EDS package with nailtiques #2 and my hyrda floral emulsion special/kit/bundle. I can't wait til wednesday when exams are done and I can spend time testing all of it!!!

Very Happy

what kind of brushes???? I have a couple that need replacing.

I also found today a microfibre exfoliating cloth in the japanese $2 store. It's sooo soft, I don't know how it scrubs everything away, but it sure did! Took off all my makeup with only water. (still used cleanser after cuz that's just yucky if I don't)

Well I went a tad overboard as usual. I got

Sephora Portfolio Brush Set
http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P81406&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=S4906

Tony & Tina Technology of Kindness Brush Set
http://www.tonytina.com/products/gift_ideas/ab_collection.php

Cat Cosmetics Travel Brush Set
http://www.catcosmetics.com/minibrush.aspx

I haven't had time to play with them, but they all feel soft and wonderful, but I don't know what I was thinking when I ordered all three sets. I have enough brushes for an army of artists and usually end up using a few favorites. Will I ever learn???

I caved and bought that one as well - it's fabulous for travel and I love their angle eye liner brush. I've now got well over 40 brushes (or is it over 50?) and I find that I use about 4 or 5 Embarassed

I used that set this morning. Very similar quality to Bobbi Brown's travel brushes, but prettier. There isn't much size difference in the powder and blush brush though, and I wonder why Cat didn't include a lip brush. I love the little bag. Who wants to take the time to put brushes in their little slots anyway? I've been carrying Tony & Tina's Evolving Beauty Face Palette in my purse and I was delighted that it fit right in the bag along with the brushes. I am set!

P.S. I hope the gold writing on the handles doesn't wear off. I hate when that happens.

mabsy and cheri,

You two are crazy. Over 50 brushes? Man, I thought that I was obsessed with makeup! DO you two have big tupperware containers full too?

Emma, How long have you been using the lip enhancer? Does is plump or soften?

Now Now....I am 44 yrs old so I am quite a few brush buying years ahead of Mabsy. I don't know what her excuse is. Smile

I've had a couple of mine since my teen years, but most of the early ones have been discarded or given away. I give the GWP ones to my little 3 yr old granddaughter.

Cheri - my excuse is that they will last me for AGES therefore I will have them years from now and will never have to buy another brush again! Yeah right! Rolling Eyes I'm really tempted to get another JI Handi brush since I'm back to using mineral makeup (it's summer and I love using it in summer!).

But seriously, I go through phases with stuff. I got most of my brushes in probably a two month period when I decided that I "needed" brushes. At the moment I'm on my "BPAL perfume phase" which scares me because their range is huge and they have plenty of limited editions all the time (bought one today actually!).

I have those "phases" too. I'm sure you'll be delighted to know it never stops. Embarassed The good news is most of those good brushes WILL last forever.

I'm currently in a highlighter/concealer phase, but in the new year I'm really going to try to stop "slutting" around with new products and stick with those I know works for me.

I love my JI handi too. Have you tried JI's botanical brush cleanser? I really like it.

I told myself the same thing - I'm not so sure if I can pull it off though Laughing

I haven't tried the botanical brush cleanser, I just use baby shampoo (or some other gentle shampoo) to clean my brushes. I've been looking at getting a brush cleaner for a while but it never quite eventuated...
