Comes in a round glass tinted Jar, smells lovely of Lavender , I have been applying this on my face over the top of my daily Moisturer.
I thought that this may initially be too oily and heavy for my skin (oily/normal) but was suprised that it is not at all, in fact you do need to use a moisturiser underneath as the first time I tried this thinking that it would be heavy like most of the Neal's Yard Face Creams my face felt like it needed more moisture.....this has never happened to me before with sunscreen.
So far I have not tanned with this, the Lavender sunscreen also makes an excellent base for my make-up.
The only downside is that it is not waterproof, however for me that is not a problem.

I was hoping you'd review this once you got around to trying it!
Have you put make-up on top? If so, how did it go? (Actually, if I remember rightly - which doesn't always happen, I have a feeling that you don't wear much make-up, though.) |

I think you feel that your skin needs more moisture with this sunscreen because it contains alcohol denat. quite high in the ingredients list. This has drying effects on the skin. Long term use may dehydrate your skin. |

Darn, definitely no good for me and my very dry skin, then.
A shame because I do love Neal's Yard and the ethics behind the company and its products. |

Normally with sunscreens I find they are so oily and greasy you don't need a moisturiser but with this I would recomend it is suitable for all skintypes even dry just so long as you use your normal moisturiser underneath.
It is like putting a make-up primer on top of your moisturiser which brings me to the make-up part, you are right most day I do not wear a lot of make-up but once a week the full mask (foundation, powder the works) comes out and the Neal's Yard sunscreen is a perfect base for wearing underneath, as I mentioned it really does feel like a make-up primer. |

I do always wear moisturiser under sunscreen, that's true. Might ask for a sample next time I'm near one of their shops to see whether it will work for me like that. |
