hi girls, i am new to this forum. I have a question of the mineral makeup. Right now, i only have two choices: go to holt renfrew to get laura mercier, or go to essential day spa to get the jane iredale. Which one will you suggest?
I saw the posts and found many of you love laura mercier. i wanna know how the coverage is. I have many marks on face, and little redness as well.
thanks |

I love the Laura Mercier (note that I haven't tried Jane Iredale myself). I have the lighest colour (Tender Rose) which I do wish was slightly lighter, but I can get away with it. I just need to apply with a lighter hand. Anyway, as for coverage: I have some red marks on my face from acne breakouts and I do find the LM MMU gives good buildable coverage (but because the colour can go alittle too dark on me, I'll use my concealor to spot cover and then apply the MMU lightly over my face). And I love the finish ... it gives a nice soft glow and is extremely creamy and easy to blend. The only place I don't use it is under my eyes ... I still find MMU emphasized any fine lines under my eyes, so I still use liquid foundation there. I used Alima previously which I thought I really loved, but when I used the LM and went back to the Alima one day, I saw how much better the LM blended and looked on me. LOVE IT! I would suggest going to Holts and seeing if you could get a sample, or atleast have them do your face and then wear it around and see what you think. I liked it so much, I went back 2 weeks later and bought a back-up container so I wouldn't run out! |

Never tried Jane Iredale but Laura Mercier had great coverage and so many products. Try for samples as I too have redness but like the light look and its great |

I have been using Alima for the past year or so, and loved it, then my aunt sent me the LM MMU in the sand color, and within the first week of wearing it I got 2 compliments on my skin (which never happens)! So I am sticking to the LM for now! Her makeup is amazing, I am now starting to get into her whole line. |

I've tried both and prefer the laura mercier for it's coverage and fresh look on the face. I had a better color match with laura mercier as well. |
