I purchased this product after seeing it advertised in "Lucky" magazine. I must admit I was lured in by the great bottle and the promise of a "rose" scent...which I love. Im more of a 1 step foaming cleanser kinda girl and I wear a full face of makeup everyday so I need something that cleans off the makeup and does not cause acne (i'm very prone). This is sold at my local Bath and Body Works so when I was in need of some candles I picked up this stuff too.
For reference...I have combo (summer oily) skin that is VERY acne prone. I wanted this for an evening mu removal and had planned to use my Dermalogica anti bac after this....Im not a huge fan of using a washcloth to take off a cleanser bc I tried this with the olive oil and it seemed to break my skin out even more.
I put about a dime sized amount on both cheeks and rub it around paying special attention to my eyes (I wear mascara and liner). There is no rose smell which is a disappointment but the texture is rich and thick which I like and it removes easily with a warm wash cloth. The jar is pretty small for $15 but I can see this will last a while and I like that this does not contain mineral oil like most cold creams so I think this will replace my other cold cream cleansers in the future. It does remove makeup pretty well but I wish it did a better job on my mascara....I use too faced which is tough to remove. . I use a spritz of rose water then NaPCA then wet a cotton ball with witchhazel and wipe across my face to remove all traces of this cream because I do believe it is thick enough to cause acne if you do not get it all off. If you are not acne prone you could just wipe and skip moisturizer...its that rich.
Overall I wouldnt purchase again bc I think there are so many water soluable oil cleansers out there that would do as good a job and I would be able to rinse instead of use the washcloth. I was really hoping for the rose smell...then I would be sold. I know...crazy! I will continue with my foaming Dermalogica anti bac cleanser in the morning...these two seem to balance each other out and leave my skin looking healthy and not broken out. |

They are not listed on the bottle? That's really strange. I thought it's required by law in the US? |
