I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything about this stuff
http://www.vaniqa.com/
It is a prescription cream to stop/slow down hair growth. |

Very interesting. Would love to hear reviews on this prescription. It might be the solution to my fuzzy face |

I used this and had great success with it. Considering the severity of my problem, it did an amazing job.
The best price I found for it was at Drugstore (hope I'm allowed to say that? - apologize if I broke any rules) My pharmacist told me their price was about what they paid for it. I think it was about $55. The tube lasts a very long time.
It stopped about 80-90% of the hair growth on chin and under chin. It slowed, thinnned and generally stopped about 50% of the hair growth on my upper lip. I suffer from Polycystic Ovary disease and it was the best thing I've ever used.
The tube lasts a very long time. I found using it 1X per day was enough and at the beginning you tend to put on more than you need, you eventually realize you can use a lot less and still get the same effect. Using it for upper lip, chin and large area under chin a tube lasted me about 4+ months, but YMMV.
I have heard that a low percentage of people have breakouts, but I never experienced this and I think this side effect is very low. The cream is not greasy, abosrbs easily and didn't disrupt my makeup application or skincare routine.
Hope that helps. |

I'm so glad someone brought this up. I was actually about to go to my derm to get a prescription for this to at least try. I'm so sick of my facial fuzz, especially around my mouth and around my jawline. I definitely want to give this a shot! |

I didn't get this for a long time because the cost was so high - I think it runs over $100 or close to it in most drugstores and I kept looking at the tube thinking I'd be going through one every month. Between finding it at a better price and just tired of dealing with waxing and endless tweezing, I got it.
Remember, you're going to use a little more in the beginning, but if you pay close attention you'll realize you don't need much and it spreads quite nicely. I applied a very thin layer.
I want to say, if it helped me, it can help anyone. Although I realize there are people with worse problems than mine, my problem is bad and I also have dark thick terminal hairs that are very hard to remove. Because of the hormone problem, the hair on my face grows very quickly. Where most people can have a waxing once every few weeks, mine barely lasts 5 days. |

When I first read this post, I thought, "Why would anyone want to stop or slow hair growth? I'm trying to grow my hair!" Then I realize you're talking about facial hair. Wow, awesome! Would this help with leg and underarm hair, too? |

Yes, sorry - I didn't know if it was against the rules to post URL's.
You can look up the price there even if you don't have a prescription, I think it's about $55. Again, the tube lasts a long time I was using it 1x per day on upper lip, chin and allover under chin. |

I think it would be too expensive to use for legs and underarm hair. |

can you buy it from that website without a prescription? I would like to try it since nothing has worked for me electrolysis(it gave me uneven coloring) Yag laser(did nothing) IPL and polaris (did nothing).I would like to try it and I think you can get a 10 coupon off on it at skinmedica.com which makes it(They make awesome skin products too like their vit c and TNS recovery complex that makes your skin look young) |
