I could not find a dedicated review post for this product so thought I would through in a review of a single-use sample sachet I just tried.
TEXTURE:
This is a totally clear gel that when applied and massaged over the skin starts to turn a soft white color (emulsifying effect of the disodium lareth sulfosuccinate I would say). I applied mine to dry skin and wet my fingers as I went along to keep the product moist (apparently this product is good if massaged over skin gently for a couple of minutes)
RESULTS:
It washed off very easily and left my skin feeling beautiful and clean (and soft) but not stripped. That said, after sitting here now for 5 mins without applying anything on top, my skin is starting to feel like it needs me to go and put on some moisture.
I cannot comment on its ability to remove make-up (can this be used around the eyes?), but it does work remarkably on blackheads. I have been blessed with the ability to go to bed with no visible blackheads on my nose and to wake up 7 hours later with a stack of visible blackheads on my nose
I am sad to see laureth sulfosuccinate on the list of ingredients, but I do think this product would be good for what I was wanting it for - a pre-shave treatment for hubby. After cleansing, he always puts a layer of glycolic cleanser on his skin, massages it in gently and then applies shaving cream. Stops any razor burn or nicks!
INGREDIENTS:
purified water, disodium laureth sulfosuccinate, laurel bentaine, coco-midopropyl betaine, PEG-30 glyceryl cocoate, propylene glycol, glycerin, xanthan gum, salicylic acid, glycolic acid,DMDM hydntoin, camellia oleifera leaf extract, chamomilla recutita (matricaria) flower extract, iodoproynyl butylcarbamate, centella asiatica extract, diazolidinyl urea, methylparaben, propylparaben, phospholipids, tocopheryl acetate, retinyl palmitate, ascorbyl palmitate
Edit: I did a check on disodium laureth sulfosiccinate and the Weleda site said this: "Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate: A very mild surfactant, appropriate for baby and child care products." (they use it in their Chamomile Phyto Shampoo, and Rosemary Phyto Shampoo) |

I had posted a review about it a few weeks to a month ago. I loved it's cleansing ability but it was too drying for me. I gave it to my son to use. |

I love it as my morning cleanser. It really feels fresh & isn't drying. I need something soothing for evening though. So far my fav for pm is Pat Wexler's. Great stuff-just the cleanser though. You can get it from the Victoria Secret website (of all places). |

Curious ~ How does one find out the pH of a product unless one asks the vendor? |
