I love IFP bha and aha treatments so much, decided to give some other products a try. I'll give a separate review for each of them.
3 different flavors of the brown sugar body polish:
Sugared Pomegranate
Sugared Lime
Fresh & Clean
I usually don't expect sample products to be packaged that well and was pleasantly surprised to find the body polish in sturdy, clear, 1 oz. tubs. When the sample is done, I'll be able to reuse this for something! I also appreciated the seal both under and over the cover, no worries about spillage during transport!
I didn't really care for the smell of sugared pomegranate or lime, if only because I couldn't detect anything but the scent of sugar. I did like the fresh & clean scent...
It kind of glided onto my skin and was very easy to apply but unfortunately the sugar dissolved too quickly to offer any of the scrubbing or exfoliation I was hoping for.
Perhaps this is a false expectation on my part, not knowing the difference between polish and scrub? I probably won't repurchase this, but I was very happy to have the opportunity to try this at only $1.75 per sample. |

Whether a product is a polish or a scrub, the sugar shouldn't dissolve the way you are describing! I know this is a very big challenge when making scrubs because I make my own sugar scrubs and have had to try many different kinds of sugar and different combinations of oils and sugars, etc. to achieve the result I wanted. I know that alot of people mix salt and sugar for this reason, but I don't like the way a salt scrub feels - i.e. the salt HURTS |

I use the IFP sugar scrub to exfoliate and when the sugar dissolves, it gives me the glide I need to shave my legs. Love the product! |

Hi Genie, I wonder if the batch you received is different than mine. I didn't really get any exfoliating benefits because the sugar melted.... I wonder if it's the brown sugar, since it's so soft |
