Any recommendations for Elemis products? I have dry/sensitive skin and I haven't tried anything from the range before (apart from a Tan Accelerator which gave me a rash so I sent it back Shock ).

I was looking at Elemis because I came across an offer forwww.timetospa.com - spend £15 and you get a trial pack of Elemis goodies worth £50 (code is NW05 expires 31.03.05)

If anyone has any experiences with their face washes, masks, or milk bath I'd appreciate your opinions.

Ive used their milk bath before and it was noce but I have normal skin and it didnt make any difference to my bath, if you know what I mean. As I didn't need any dry skin releif the milk bath is farrr too expensive to buy in my eyes, unless it comes part of a TSV on QVC. I was so tempted to buy their cleanser and toner on QVC on Wednesday, huge bottles, but Im a wash and water person really so I didnt cave in. Their new anti aging creams sell out each time despite the high price. Good to see you back happybunny. Wink

I'm currently trying out their Lime Blossom cleanser and Lavender Toner but haven't been using them long enough to tell if they are having a negative/postive effect on my skin. I've also got a small tube of their Papaya Enzyme Peel which I really like. Leaves my skin really smooth. I've also got a tube of their Herbal Lavender Repair Mask. Also quite nice but definitely only for combination/oily skin.
Another Elemis product I have in my collection is a small tube of the Pro-Collagen Marine cream. Smells gorgeous but I haven't really tried it out properly yet as I'm too busy loving my Decleor Hydra Floral Emulsion. The one day I did give the Pro-Collagen a trial it didn't seem to sit very well underneath my make-up. Hopefully that was just an error with my application rather than a fault of the product.
I signed up with timetospa.com a couple of months ago, mainly to take advantage of some of their offers. Recently received their 'Try Me Collection' which is 3 tiny tubes of the Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, Eye Support and the Pro-Collagen Neck and Bust Treatment. Have yet to try them out.
I'd really like to try the SOS Emergency Cream. It's supposed to be quite good. :)Anyway, I've been waffling on a bit. Embarassed I don't really have any recommendations for dry/sensitive skin although I have heard people rave on about the Gentle Rose Exfoliator, Absolute Lifting Mask and the Skin Bliss Capsules.
Seems like a good offer though, will have to investigate. Very Happy

Thanks for the info, where did you find the code for freebies? Can't see it on the site.

I've tried most of the range, their absolute day and night cream is lovely, smells great, not too thick or too thin.

The milk bath is nice to use neat if you suffer from skin complaints, it's a bit pricey to use in the bath IMO. The Frangipani monoi melt is TO DIE FOR, it smells wonderful, you can use it as an intensive hair conditioner, or on your cuticles and also as a body oil. Papaya enzyme peel is great to get rid of dead skin cells without using an irritating skin scrub and it smells good enough to eat. At the mo I've got the Fruit Active mask which is great, again it smells wonderful and the skin bliss capsules, although expensive really made a difference to my skin, it looked healthier and more rosy and soft.

Hope that helps.

Meant to also say that the sensitive cleansing wash is really nice, I can't be doing with that squirt a bit of cleanser onto a cotton wool ball and then do the same with the toner so the cleansing wash is nice as you just apply straight to the face and then rinse off.

I didn't have such great results with the Elemis products. I'd been watching QVC for a while and decided to give the range a try, but actually bought from timetospa due to a special offer that was on at the time. I've tried the cleansing gel face wash, lime blossom cleanser, lavendar toner, absolute day cream, sos cream, skin buff and lavendar mask. I can't say that they made my skin worse but I definitley saw no improvement. A lot of people like the products though so it may be worth trying. I like the bath milk but it's a bit expensive (nice for a treat though)!

Thanks for all the feedback girls.

I think I'll give the Milk Bath a miss, but the sensitive cleansing wash and the Frangipani monoi melt sound lovely.

Quick question about the Papaya enzyme peel - I'm using Origins Never A Dull Moment at the moment - does the Elemis product give the same kind of results? Has anyone tried both to compare the two?

sarahb - the code isn't advertised on the site but if you enter it at checkout the giftpack will appear in your basket. The gift contains:

Skin buff 20ml
fruit active rejuvenating mask 20ml
pro-collagen marine cream 15ml
absolute day cream for normal/combination skin 20ml
small Elemis branded pouch.

I might get the sensitive cleansing wash and then try out these trial sizes and see how my skin gets on with them before I go mad and spend a fortune Very Happy

Hi

I've tried the Origins NADM and the Papaya Peel, the peel is like a face mask in consistency and you leave it on like a mask but the enzymes slough off the dead skin cells like a scrub but without the scrubbing. I would use it for the smell alone. The results are similar to each other (Origins/Elemis) but completely different products.

Hi I'm new here, but I am a huge Elemis fan, their muscle ease bath soak is fantastic. Their Pro collagen marine cream is lovely and their sos cream calms my face overnight (it works better when you warm it in the palms of your hand before application it spreads the waxy consistency)I always look better after the papaya enzyme peel.

Martigirl - do you find the Pro Collagen Marine Cream forms a good base under make up? I read on the MakeUp Alley reviews that it goes 'bitty' under foundation - have you had any problems with it?

I felt that it provided a very poor base for my make-up. When I tried to apply my foundation over it I found that it all started to roll off in little bits. Very annoying. Sad

I have never had that problem I have also read that regarding the absolute lifting serum but again no problems here. I cleanse tone and moisturise all my face beforew going in the shower then put my make up on at least 5-10 minutes afterwards, so I don't know what I am doing differently.

Hope this helps
I am currently testing a Clarins day cream (anti ageing)and I must admit the results are pretty impressive so far the side of my face that I am testing looks more refined and toned after only 3 weeks, so that might be my next purchase.

Just a little update: I ended up ordering the Absolute Day Cream for dry/sensitive skin - any rants or raves for this one? I am using Decleor Hydra Floral at the moment so I hope I wont be dissappointed by the Elemis.

Can I still use my Decleor Neroli oil underneath the Elemis moisturiser?

I haven't used Elemis, but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use the Neroli Oil underneath it. I use Neroli underneath non-Decleor moisturisers and have not had any problems.

I have been using my Elemis Absolute Day Cream (dry skin version) for about two weeks now and I am really pleased with it - I think I prefer it to my Hydra Floral which is something I'd never thought I'd say Shock Smile My skin just seems to drink it up, all my dry bits have gone, and it makes an excellent base for foundation.

I have used the elemis papaya peel and although it smells FANTASTIC, i wouldnt say it was amazing for my skin though. After washing the peel off, my face didnt feel or look any different. I guess it is more suitable for sensitive skin, as it was too gentle for me

i know i should give a product a couple more times before saying whether it's effective or not but because i already LOVE PSF's pumpkin peel, i decided to go back to it.

I haven't tried their skin care line, but I LOVE the Elemis Sharp Shower Bath & Shower Gel.
