This product has been recommeneded thousands of time by my friends and I picked on (color 2). As they said it can be applied around eye area to brighten it and corner of nose to hide the darkness. I don't find it amazing though coz it doenst cover any dark circle in eye area and the brighten effects are not that effective and a bit oily.
The worst is it smells very stinky. The first several times it smelled ok but a few months later when I opened up it smelled funny, not pleasant anyways.
Not recommeneded |

Damn, I bought this at Xmas, but I dont use make-up very much... must go dig it out and smell it. I will be VERY P-oed if it goes stinky on me as it was REALLY expensive in Australia even thought I bought it duty free! |

Chloelee, thanks for the warning
I was actually planning to buy this one because there was so much hype about it. |

i bought this a few weeks ago, but still not had the chance to use it yet
does every one of it smell or is it a particular batch? if it's not, then is there any way that you can clean it after every application? because for the price of it, it would mean that you would only be using half of it due to the stink! |

I've used touche eclat for years and heard the same stories of it going stinky. Think of this, would you use a foundation brush on your skin day after day and then leave it in a sealed container for a couple of and expect the brush to be clean? Course not!
WASH IT! it is the brush which smells not the product! |

Ewww--I thought the rancid smell was just a fluke--like the product had gone off. It is truly disgusting. I wonder what ingredient causes the odour? |

Bacteria from your skin. It's not the product, it's not washing the brush that creates the smell. Think about it, you apply a damp brush over your skin and then leave it all day in an airtight container then spend a few more minutes rubbing it into your skin. Repeat 30 times = horrid stink! I mean there are so many threads on washing makeup brushes which are used with dry products and exposed to the air, it seems common sense to me that these brushes need more washing than regular brushes.
I wash mine by holding it upside down using castile soap and warm water. I blot on tissue and leave to dry flat minus lid. |

Hmm..I don't know about that. I have Dior's skinflash which works on the same principle and I don't smell anything...I'm inclined to say that its the product. |

I've used this for years - but I don't use the attached brush. I use a separate brush that I dip into the one they have attached and I wash my separate brush every single day as I do with all of my brushes.
Never an odor problem, not even once. I have probably gone through at least ten tubes of these over the years...... |

ok, I've jsut used it for the first time and I've got to agree with you Chloe, I'm not impressed with it especially with all the hype about it. Doesn't conceal dark circles or anything at all, makes the puffiness even more puffy and it is slightly oily.
It does go on quite smoothly and adds a bit of a glow to the skin but nothing special for that amount of money.
I wont be purchasing it unless I found somewhere REALLY cheap or at a duty-free |

I totally second that. with that money I would rather spend it on a good cream or a good ftd. |

i guess i'm in the minority - this is my HG under eye concelor!
Its light, easy to use (blend) and ive owned 4 in my life and NEVER experiences a yucky smell!!
I doesnt 'cover' circles, it just makes them much less obvious. And doesnt settle into the wrinkles |

Boots has a similar product for only 13 bucks. If you like YSl it might be worth a try as it'll save you money!
I've not tried YSL but I love the Boots version too much to spend 40 bucks on a similar product. |

I'm always in a minority on principle I love it too. I think hte problem is is peeps think it's a concealer when it's not. I paint it on my naso lab lines. Not on the crease but on the bit in shadow and it is almost like they aren't there. Not recommended for flash photography around the eyes though! You get a weird negative panda eye look I find! |
