Hi,
I've been doing spot treating tca peels for about a year, and done a few glycolic before then.
The main area of concern is above my top lip (perioral lines), and i think that the area has gotten worse not better.
My question to all you experienced tca peelers, is this.
Is it possible to damage the underlying skin, to a point beyond repair, or maybe thin the skin too much?
I have also developed a brown pigmented area on both cheeks, which is really bugging me, should i continue or give up? |

Are you using sunscreen daily? If not then it could definitely worse. |

I second that!
if you are doing peels or usind retin products, you MUST wear a good sunscreen every day. On rainy days, on winter days included. |

Hi,
I religiously use skinceuticals 30spf daily, what ever the weather, i also use retin-a daily and have been doing so since last September.
However when i first started using Glycolic acid about 2 years ago, i didn't know protection from the sun was necessary, and did go to Spain not long after doing a peel and sunbathed daily with hardly any protection, but like i say that was 2 - 3 years ago, the pigmentation only appeared in the last couple of months, but i'm convinced the lip lines are as a result of the sunbathing unprotected |
