There doesnt seem to be any reviews on the Juvenil range, and since I've been using it for 3 months now, I decided to just share with you all my thoughts on it.
Juvenil is suited for problematic skin and for those under 25. I've been using Juvenil since March, which was when I started on Retin-A as well. I'm using the Day cream, as the customer rep said that even though the night cream has more cells than the day one, but if I were to just buy one, it should be the day cream.
My skin= I have very mild acne (It used to be mild-moderate but thanks to Retin-A, my skin has calmed down) and monthly breakouts but I have many red marks left from my breakouts that seem to never fade. Due to the Retin-A, I have some redness, particularly on my cheeks and peelies around my mouth area and cheeks.
My main concern is of course my acne and the pigmentation.
The reason why I chose Cellcosmet is cos all the other moisturisers I've used seem to break me out and be extremely oily on my skin. I wanted a good quality, reputable brand and after much thinking, I chose Cellcosmet. I read most of the reviews here on EDS and emailed Cellcosmet for suggestions, and the benefits of Cellcosmet seemed to outweigh the two things which I worried the most- will it worsen my acne and the price of the product.
I dont see any major improvements to my skin since using the Juvenil, if any, it was due to the Retin-A. It does moisturise my skin well but it does make my skin shiny within 2 hours of usage. But as my skin is so dehydrated now, I think the Juvenil works wonderfully on my flakies. Even though it makes my skin shiny, it does not break me out. The customer rep did say that people experience an initial breakout but as I was on Retin-A, I think I was only purging from that rather than the Cellcosmet.
I only need one full pump to cover my face and neck and I;m still using this bottle I bought back in March. I've still got maybe another weeks application left, so one bottle does last a very long time.
As with all Cellcosmet products, this has a strong fragrance (I think it smells of old ladies ) but I soon got used to the smell and found it quite comforting
After using this bottle, I;m still gonna continue using Juvenil as I dont want to give it up so I've already got another bottle. But if I still dont see any improvements to my skin after using the 2nd bottle, I'll try the next one up which I think is the Sensitive or Concentrated. On top of that, I've decided to give the night cream a try cos even using the day cream, mid-day, I still get flakies, so I think I need a richer moisturiser at night.
The night cream is similar to the day, but is a bit more thicker and looks very oily on my skin but the morning after, my face is hydrated but my nose is rather shiny. |

Thank you for your review!
I also have the Juvenil night sitting in my drawer waiting to be used. I actually don't know why I got it because I have already tried the Concentrated Day and Ultra Vital(!)
I do feel Ultra Vital is a little rich for my skin at the moment but Concentrated was excellent as it helped to clear up my congestion. I was probably expecting Juvenil to be lighter and have more clarifying properties than both versions.
Actually now I am just using Kanebo Sensai Cellular Performance Emulsion II day and night and it is a more pleasant texture and scent than Cellcosmet. I do feel the CP range (which contains niacinamide) has more benefits for skin that is treated with retinoids which should receive more fortifying nutrients. I currently use Differin a few times a week and I get flakies and redness too. Even during the peak of winter now I find Emulsion II to be nice enough to absorb and not leave a shiny finish.
Perhaps you may want to add something else for a day moisturiser, that also has functional actives, and a hydrating serum to enhance the plumpness of the skin. |

I was never attracted to Juvenil and jumped to Ultra Vital. If I had the pump packaging, I would never use one full pump for my face, unless I applied it to my neck and chest. |

I do think that I need more in the a.m rather than just the Juvenil day, but I'm on a no buy at the moment cos I'm saving up for going to HK in September.
But strange thing is, just when I thought I was used to the Retin-A 0.025% (cos I had no flakies and my skin wasnt red), the past couple of weeks, my skin is just so dehydrated. After dinner, my mum kept on asking to wipe my mouth area, thinking I got a bit of food stuck on my face...but it was the skin peeling off
I just googled the Kanebo Sensai Cellular Performance Emulsion but there doesnt seem to be much info, reviews or the ingredients list. Miranets, do you think Kanebo's comparable to Cellcosmet then? |

I just wanted to say that some of Kanebo is really, really nice. I've only tried the cleanser and I liked it, but it was slightly too drying for the winter season. |

Other than the cleanser, have you used any of Kanebo's leave on products i.e. serums, emulsion, creams, masks?
Thanks |

I am not a huge fan of the Kanebo cleansing products, with exception to the cleansing cream. Everything else is too drying for me, even the Silky Purifying range.
There is a few reviews of Sensai CP on Makeupalley, although the product was repackaged and reformulated last year, essential it is the same with just one new extract added.
How to compare Kanebo's Sensai line to Cellcosmet...! Well Sensai has Sensai Silk, Sensai Cellular Performance (and a sub range of Advance Recovery), and Sensai Premier. They are in order of target age range, Silk is for prevention of aging, CP is for early signs and so on. The philosophy behind Sensai vs. Cellcosmet are both based on "cellular enhancement" although Cellcosmet uses cells to treat cells. Whereas CP contains niacinamide and a mixture of other antioxidants and such.
I would probably like CP lotions and moisturisers better, they are lighter and I think Japanese skincare does suit Asian skin better. Although I use Cellcosmet cleansing products and eye products, and they are also well formulated - it would suit me in a cold climate.
Because I am using Differin, I find I can use CP Emulsion II together or alongside Differin, whereas Cellcosmet tends to even irritate my skin. I have used Ultra Vital around the mouth several times, to act as a barrier before applying Differin and it would always leave my skin feeling slightly itching. I do not Cellcosmet is too strongly scented and it is not something I would use on severely compromised skin after retinoid treatment.
Also, because you get a lot of flaking (same as me esp around mouth area) do you use any exfoliation product to help assist skin turn over? |

No, I have not tried Kanebo's other products, but I have tried Amore Pacific lotions and I found them to be a bit too watery. |

Thanks Skincare
Thanks for comparing Kanebo with Cellcosmet Miranets! Yeah, I've noticed recently that a lot of the Asian brands (skincare and cosmetics) seem to suit my skin better, but I do find that some Asian brands tend to have some kinda ingredient that irritate my skin like no other. I remember using a Sewame (sp?) sheet mask and my my face was all covered with this itchy rash . But I'm definately going to write the Kanebo product down so I can get a bottle from HK, which I'm sure will be cheaper than ordering online.
I am exfoliating but not as much as I used to since being on Retin-A. I use a microfibre cloth every day, NCN's pumpkin peel every 6-8 weeks and an aspirin mask/scrub whenever I need to. |

I'm on the 2nd bottle of Juvenil and dont know if its been said already but just a little tip for those who have the pump packaging. You can unscrew the top (gold bit) and scrape the product out and there should still be enough to last another 3 days! |

yeahyeah, it sounds strange for me that you are using it because other moisturizers "seem to break me out and be extremely oily on my skin". From my personal experience with cellcosmet, of course not Juvenil, it's the most oily one, and makes me break out more than others. May be it's because of the difference between Juvenil skin and mature skin? |

Yeah, I did contemplate over getting the Juvenil cos Cellcosmet is targetted for more mature skin. But I cos I tried a sample of the ultra vital and that didnt break me out, I thought I'd give the Juvenil a go.
When my skin is extremely oily on some days, I think Juvenil is too rich, but that doesnt bother me that much. However, I am on the lookout for something a bit lighter. |

Hi yeahyeah, I'm currently using ultra vital from the free trial kit. Although I'm approaching 28 years old, much older than you are, I do think it's too rich for me. I begin to have several oily seeds on my face, which look much like acne.
I recommend valmont to you. That line has pretty lighter cream and works on me very well. |

Hi jhelenhan...I'm 22 so you're not that much older than me!
Eeek, I was thinking of getting the Ultra Vital for use in the winter, but I guess thats a no no now.
When I wanted to invest in a good quality moisturiser, it was a toss up between Cellcosmet and Valmont. But I dont think I've read any reviews/feedback on Valmont from younger users but plenty on Cellcosmet, so that's why I chose it.
After my hols in HK, I will look into Valmont again...providing I dont find my HG in HK |

Hi Yeahyeah, it's great to know that you are going to HK for a vacation. Actually I just came to U.S. from HK. Personally I don't think you can find some deal on Valmont in HK, but you will definitely see many more better skincare lines from Switzerland there. The best skincare comes from Switzerland, and that's why I'm only use Swiss skincare.
I have used pretty many moisturizers from both Valmont and Cellcosmet, and I think at your age, you'd better go with Valmont. |

Yeah, cant wait to stock up on my beauty things in HK. I go every year and each year I bring more and more things back
Which moisturiser from Valmont would you recommend for acneic, sensitive, combination-oily skin so I can make a note of it and compare prices in HK and UK? |

You're surely luckier than me. After I left there in 2006, I never get chance to go back.
I once tried Valmont L ELIXIR DES GLACIERS, Valmont Regenera I Cellular Restoring Nourishing Cream and Valmont AWF Cyto Complex EJ - Factor II. They are all good stuff, very light and won't be too rich for young skin. My skin is very sensitive, dry-combination. |

I was thinking of trying the Nature line after reading Valmont's website. But their website isnt that informative, as there's no contact information so I cant email them for suggestions on which products good for acneic skin |

I read about others raving about Kanebo. I love their Sensui Eye balm. Absolutely beautiful texture.
I want to jump onto the strongest Cellcosmet product which I think would be Ultra Vital. Is that the one that contain the most Cell Extracts? Because it's for day and night, I figure I only have to buy one product. |

Yes arielstar08 the Ultra Vital has the highest concentration and it is fabulous. If I could afford to use this all year round I would without question. |
