What's your best drugstore remedy for breakouts?
I've got a big family get-together on Friday!
THANK YOU! |

NEVERMIND! i motivated my lazy butt to do a search, so i'm going to try the Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask.
it does sound pretty drying, so do you think i should just use it as a spot treatment? |

QHMJ mask works quite well at taking down the pimple overnight. I only spot treat - plunk a blob to completely cover the pimple and go to bed. It'll tingle but that just convinces me it's working. By morning, the redness and swelling generally is less. I'll use bp during the day and use the spot treatment at night. Repeat daily as needed. |

I love witch hazel for preventing and treating breakouts, use everyday after cleansing and before moisturising, if you need something stronger to treat any spots then Tea Tree is highly effective.
I have also heard lots of positives about the Queen Helene range. |

I am using the tee tree oil from the Body Shop. Although it is not drugstore products, it's not expensive- $7/ bottle. I have been using for two months and still half bottle left. |

I love that mask. You should try the Mint Julep Facial scrub too. |

I have never heard anything but good stuff about that mint mask and I have WANTED to like it so many times that I've tried it (still got my tube), but everytime I've used it, I've broken out afterwards (I don't break out too often either). It's so weird, I've always heard raves on that mask! It could have been a coincidence for me, but for some reason I don't think so. Doesn't happen to me with other masks though, just that one. But I've never heard anything bad about it so it'll probably work for you. For a drugstore buy I prefer Persa Gel. Hope you find something that works. |

Do you have really sensitive skin? My friend had eczema and that mask gave her a rash. All my other friends loved it. |

I also tried it and it did something weird... it was so long ago I don't remember, but it was bad enough that I didn't use it again. Sorry to be so vague. Maybe you could patch test a few times to be safe? |
