I thought this might be an interesting topic, it may give us some inspiration to try out some new colours! I know i am board of the same old thing for my medium skin tone(taupe browns, greens), so lets get ready to experiment!!! |

For the summer I use golds because it enhances the summer tan!! Right now I am using Laura mercier's gold (not sure of the exact name, as I am at work) liquid eye color (its a wand application). |

Hmm! Even though I have a background as a make-up artist, I tend to wear subtle make-up every day. Right now I have a tan, and I wear little make-up beyond brow pencil, black mascara, a hint of lipstick, and some concealer under my eyes. However, I do tend to do a more dramatic eye if I'm going out in the evening: a smoky eye with either browns or navy, a pale eye with lash-line definition & heaps of black mascara. I pair this with a punchy, if not red lipstick. Classic. I've fooled around with a lot of different looks in my early 20's ... false eyelashes, heavier make-up, etc. I was the image of the M.A.C-girl, with a lot of interesting product on, before M.A.C became so widely known around the world. (Hey, we Canadians pioneered M.A.C ! ) Dramatic make-up, but I was bit over-the-top wearing these looks while living in Smithers www.town.smithers.bc.ca If you've ever lived in a small town, you'll know what I mean. If you want to get an idea of what it was like to have to live there for fifteen years, read the new book "Miss. Smithers" by author Susan Juby. It's a hilarious read, and you'll die laughing. |

Well I for one have lots of different colors of eyeshadow but I tend to reach for plums, browns, and greens most often. I have also found that no matter how hard I try I just cannot pull off very dark eye makeup. You know that smokey-eye look? Can't do it
Could be because even with Kevyn Aucoin's step-by-step guide, I am still a clutz at certain things Caspers Mum, when I finally get myself to Vancouver one day you will have to teach me a few things |

Caspers mum-is mac good for the skin? I use their loose powder, bronzer, and blush and I am nervose that their make-up is oily and maybe not acneagenic (spelling?). What do you think? |
