I'm getting married in a month, and my skin is at its worst. What can i start doing now that will make a difference?. supplements? exercise?
I have dry skin, dehydrated, i look pale, i used to glow but due to anemia, my skin is very dull. I have hyper-pigmentation due to recent breakouts and for some reason, there taking months to heal.
I have a clarisonic, but i'm not sure how exactly i should start using it. It seems to dry me out more. I appreciate any advice. |

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!
Has your face healed from the previous issues you were going through regarding overexfoliation? |

I have the same issue with the Clarisonic. I only use it once a week, otherwise my skin is a dry mess from it.
In only 1 months time I don't think there is a ton you can you, other than nutrition wise by eating a good diet with a lot of fruits and veggies. Cantaloupe is a good food when you want a glow! |

hi Africanqueen,
I totally understand how you feel! I went through it 3 years ago. Time flies!!
I realised from a recent trip I had when i thought i was coming down with the flu and so i drank LOTS of water. Like LOTs! until someone told me about water poisoning and I freaked and cut down a bit. That was probably the only time I drank 8 glasses of water (per day) but i think i drank more.
What happened after that was.... a few days later I noticed my skin was smooth, and glowing. I thought I was pregnanT! Then i realised it was from drinking the water. I kind of flushed all the bad stuff out. detox.
So what I recommend you is to drink lots of water. Do 8 glasses a day as the limit. It really helps to maintain your skin. Sadly now I don't have that discipline and my skin is not exactly at its best.
Besides that, look at your diet. Stay away from oily fried BBQ foods. Eat healthy, boiled, steamed, soupy, non-oily food. Just till your wedding is over.
The stress building up also creates outbreak so sleep well, sleep more. No late nights. Don't smoke if you do. Smoking also destroys your skin. Take Vitamins... maybe E and C... for good skin. Also drink green tea. I think it helps.
Your regular skincare regime should also be followed regularly. Then I think you're safe. Go for a facial session maybe 5 days before... but ensure you have been to one before (don't make that your first time). Don;t try new facial products, just in case of allergic reactions.
hope this helps! |

oh and please don't take fast food during this time... all the burgers, fries, not good for the skin. Maybe lie low on the chilli intake too.
Stuff like clear soup or steamed stuff is food. Salad is good too but don't go overboard on the mayo/dressings. I really hope this will help you get back into the glow mode for your wedding.
Last but not least, ensure you got a good make up artist. No matter how bad your skin gets, a good make up artist can do the job to fix you up in no time! |

I recommend "green drinks" daily until the big day. This will help detox and keep the system flushed out.
The result will be a better complexion. Lots of sleep too - beauty sleep is not a myth. Take melatonin and get a full 8 hours...
Avoid junk food, including sodas and sugar/high fructose items. |

If you have used the OCM before with no side effects, you might want to revert to using that again. Last month, I was experiencing the worst breakout of my life, and reverted back to using OCM and jojoba oil to moisturize. And now I'm all healed and proper again.
Beyond that, you can also try drinking more water, and making vegetable smoothies. I blend a full vitamix blender of baby spinach with whatever fruits I can find in the house. It works well to up the fiber, vitamin, and mineral intake for your body.
And as a last resort, maybe a hormonal contraceptive? I know my skin improved when I started the Nuva Ring. |

Oh my god, I am in the exact same position! getting married in a week, and I look worse than I ever have in my entire life, lol. It's kinda getting better now, thank god.
I think what usually helps me is working out. Healthy food, lots of vegetables, no smoking, drinking lots of water.
Hope you'll have a great wedding. Just put a bunch of make up on, that's what I'll do. At least you're not broken out like me, so that's good. And it sure is easier to cover up hyperpigmentation than it is to make full-blown pimples disappear |

Congrats!!!
Glycerin and honey are natural moisturizer for all types of skin..
Mix three teaspoons of glycerin to one teaspoon honey.(3:1 ratio)
this gives best results..
Thank you! |

Don't be nervous, just be who you are, that's enough. |

Stress less! Sounds a lot easier than it is but stress shows itself in the skin!
Have a massage and get yourself into the beautician for some facials. |

you can do mask everyday before half a month, and avoid to use the VA product because it may cause red peel, you can choose some whiten products also. |
