I've had this for a few weeks now so I decided it was time to write a little review about it. I'm really getting into the Dr H range at the moment (cleansing cream review and rhythmic night conditioner review coming up in about 10 days ).
Dr H has two lip balms - one in a pot and one in a stick. The one I got is the one in the little glass pot (4.2g).
Let's start with the positives It is a very nice lip balm and it smells really nice as well. It has a rosey scent, but it's more of a natural rose than a fake rose type smell. It is quite moisturising on the lips and you only need a little bit of it - so it will last a long time.
Now, you have to understand that I am comparing this lip balm to my fave Decleor Lip Balm. The Dr H one comes in a smaller pot, and thus a smaller opening, making it hard to get some out - particularily if you have nails. The lip balm itself is also harder than the Decleor one so you have to rub your finger over it quite a few times to get a decent quantity that will cover your lips. I also find that the Decleor lip balm is more moisturising than the Dr H one and lasts longer on the lips as well. Probably won't make a difference unless you have really dry lips. On the other hand the Dr H one feels like you've got nothing on your lips, whereas the Decleor feels a bit vasline-like (so slippery I guess - but not too sticky). I haven't tried the stick version of the balm, but if it's the same formulation then I'd buy the stick next time around.
So verdict is - I like it and I use it regularily - but it doesn't beat Decleor Lip Balm in my books

Hi Mabsy!!
First of all, let me say a belated "Congratulations" on becoming moderator. Must be fun and of course you'll be a terrific one and you are, right now, doing a fantastic job! You have a wealth of info on every kind of skin problem that helps us all.
I was wondering how you were doing with the Dr. H. products, and am looking forward to your other reviews which you say will be on their way.
I agree with everything you said about the lip balm. But I have one suggestion. I have read that the lip balm in the tube is not as moisturizing and most prefer the one in the pot. Just a little info for you before you make another purchase. |

I have used the stick one for quite awhile now and I love it. I have to have something on my lips when I go to sleep (go figure) and for the longest time I was using Burt's Bees chapstick. But during the day, my lips still felt dry and would peel. I decided to try Dr. H's stick and I will never go back. It is much lighter than the BB, no waxy feeling and after about a week of using it, my lips were no longer chapped and peeling during the day. I like it because it really doesn't feel like you have much on, but it gives your lips a soft sheen. The tube does seem to go down faster than others that I have tried, but that is fine. Maybe it is softer?

Thank you Leeleedeedee! It has been fun, and interesting, though I must admit it's been a little bit more time consuming than I thought it would be. But hey, I really like "hanging out" at this forum so it's been great Really glad to "see" you here again.
I'm currently using a few Dr H products and really liking them. I want to review the cleansing cream (which has been fantastic for me!), but I'm also using the night conditioner ampules - so I'll probably write about it when I finish that course. But so far I'm really impressed with Dr H, and plan on trying more things (e.g. Quince Cream) when I order next
Thank you (and thank you CharlieBaby) for the info on the stick form lip balms. I might pass on that idea, seeing as it may not be as moisturising and gets used up faster. Besides, who am I kidding... This 'lil pot I have will last AGES

There are some threads on lip balms that are much more recent than 6 years old, you might have better luck with one of those. |

The DrH lip balm (tube) is the best. I have used it for many years and it is the only lip balm that keeps my lips moist and looking great. I always use it before I go to bed. |

Hey Mabsy, thank you for the info, I have only tried Dr. H lip balm in a stick form, and the first 3 sticks I was very impressed with, but then it kind of stopped working for me - maybe my lips got used to it?
I just received my order of Decleor lip balm in a squeezy sort of tube, and I am really loving it, and agree with you- it does last longer, and I like feeling it on |

I think it's rather sweet, and resembles honey. It doesn't taste like fake flavor oils either. |

I like it...pretty moisturizing and I have a tons of these stashed everywhere in the house and car (samples or gifts with purchase from EDS). Smells nice and its not overpowering. I didn't find that I lips got used to it or anything. |

I have been using Dr. H's lip balm for a few weeks now. I love the fragrance! It has reduced the wrinkles in my lips substantially. |

It smells like rose? I'm tempted
The fact that it comes in a glass jar is also a pull factor. Despite how a lot of people hate glass (breakable) + jars (less hygenic), I just love the heavy solid feel. It's kind of pricey though. |
