Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had any tips regarding the best protocol before a special day. I have my wedding comingup on October 29th and I want to look my absolute best. Any suggestions between now and then to be the most radiant possible besides keeping up with my regular skin care routine? |

For skincare, don't try anything new now that may cause you to breakout or have other skin reactions. Stick to your tried and true routine and products. Stay away from supplements that you haven't used before, either.
I do suggest drinking lots of water and eating more fruits and veggies. If you're not a regular exerciser, incorporate some form of exercise that will get your blood circulating. Get plenty of rest between now and then as well. If you've had facials done before and you're familiar with results, that will be good, too.
Congratulations and best of luck to you! |

I upped my antioxidants in my diet and skin regime. I've been using vitamin C serum for years and love it. I added an oxygenating serum and moisturiser for that extra glow.
I agree with the previous comments on RELAX RELAX RELAX! It is so easy to get caught up with everything and I found that the closer the date got, the more I had to do and more things and people to contend with. You deserve time to yourself! |

I agree about not trying anything new. I was crazy and tried this eyebrow wax, which ended up burning my skin. It was all red. My mom yelled at me. Also I botoxed my face too much and got that yucky frozen look. Got yelled at by mom, too. We tend to do too much cuz we want to look our best but can end up hurting ourselves. Oh I also did the lash extensions for the occasion, and I chose the really long lashes. If you want to do that, go with the natural length. I think I'd have been happier with the more natural length. The extreme length just looked ridiculous. |

like previous comments, i would suggest sleep, relax, eat healthy... i would also suggest treating yourself to the spa for a good massage, facial, etc to get you all pampered up before the big day..
congrats! |

Yes, don't do anything drastic now! If you have a facial beforehand, do it several days before. Decide what makeup you're going to wear, application, etc. and try it out well in advance. Remember you will be photographed constantly. Figure out a way to carry it along and have it at hand in case you need it during the day - it will probably be a looong day. If you have bridesmaids, entrust it to one of them.
If you're doing anything fancy with your hair, do a "dry run" a few weeks before. If any changes need to be made, you have time to handle it. My hairdresser has brides come in all the time to "figure out the hair", as she says; it's her gift to them. She does this a few months in advance.
Doing all this now ensures that you won't be panicky about it right before the wedding. You will have this part all planned out and be ready to "swing into action" the day of.
Enjoy your special day! |

I absolutely suggest taking hyaluronic acid twice a day for a few weeks before - it plumps skin and lips - adds a nice moist look. (skin eternal by Source Naturals). I'd start right away. I would also take Neocell collagen capsules. Great reviews - all about making the skin glow...
Cat cosmetics has a nice product called "Oscar Glow" - in (I Think) Angel glow. It's subtle but lightly brushed on it is a softly luminizing look.
Congrats... |
