I found this at my local health store, it's wonderful. I saw a difference on my skin the following morning. It's all smooth and normalized. I didn't use a cotton pad, I just squeeze some in my hands and press it on my face. The best part -- it's cheap ! around $7 for 12 oz. I mixed it in my ACV too, it calms the strong smell a little, makes it more wearable during the day. I will use it to mix my own clay mask soon.
Thayer's Rose Petal Alcohol Free Witch Hazel Toner (Ingredients): Purified Rose Water, Thayers® Proprietary blend of Witch Hazel extract with Aloe Vera, Vitamin E, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Butylene Glycol ( a natural humectant used to attract moisture), Methylparaben (a gentle and safe preservative), Polysobate 20 (and emulsifier derived from Coconut Oil), and an all-natural fragrance
I think Witch Hazel is supposed to clean your pores too.
Anyone tried this ? Seriously, check this out if you get a chance ! |

I love this too. My esthitian recommended that I use witch hazel, so when I found one with rose petals, it iwas an instant success.
Great product that works, and it's cheap!!! |

Thank you. Would you recommend this toner to someone with enlarged pores and blackheads? |

With large pores and blackheads, you may want to use their lemon witch hazel toner instead. Also, you would really want to try the Dr.Hauschka cleansing cream. Just do a search on this forum, people are raving about it.
Hope this helps,

I get high strength rosewater made up for me at the local chemist for around £1.50 and buy 100% witch hazel for £1, then mix the two together and add a little Apple Cider Vinegar.
Linnie it works wonders on my pores |

Thanks,

Let me go and have a sniff!!!!
It does have an astrigent smell to it, I find the rosewater offsets it, it may not bother you though, it's nothing overpowering. |

That toner has 10% alcohol in it. I'd prefer one with no alcohol. |

Thanks again Rosebud, glad you have all kinds of potions in your kitchen
Linnie, to be honest, one of my friend has super oily skin, and came across the same decision process, she ended up with the Rose petal one with no alcohol, and she is loving. She said she saw a difference on day one. Good luck, hope it works out for you too

I got mine in a natural health food store in Boston. It shouldn't be hard to find

I have started to use it a few days ago. So far, so good. My skin feels very soft, and the smell is not overpowering. Will keep you posted. |

Sorry to report that e-store feelbest.com doesn't carry the product anymore. I went to the store itself, and the owner doesn't deal with the company anymore.
As for the results, it's hard to say. The past summer has been a disaster for my skin, so I don't know whether the toner helped or made it worse. I was planning on trying another bottle to be able to judge. |

Poor Linnie, I hate it when your skin is behaving badly. Hang on in there!!!! Also my skin also flares when the seasons change but soon settles back down |

Thanks for your sympathy. I really don't know what the causes are: sunscreen? ultraquin cream? heat and humidity?
My forehead has a ton of milia and a red, very dense pimple, my face is shining non stop and my pores are gigantic. Sob! |

Bump to an old thread, but just wondering if anyone is still using this?
I like the idea of combining witch hazel and rosewater. I was also contemplating the Burt's Bee's Rosewater and Glycerin Toner...or simply using rosewater or witch hazel itself. |

I love this toner only not for my face I place Thayer's lavendar or rose witch hazel into a spray bottle and mist it on my body after I step out of the shower, it seems to keep any backne at may and is soothing on legs and bikini line after a shave. I like the fact that there's no alcohol in it and it smells lovely! |

I couldn't wait, so I went out and bought it today :P $12, so not bad. I also looked at the Burt's Bees, but it had alcohol and was in a glass bottle.
Used it tonight, so we'll so how my skin feels tomorrow. I haven't used a toner in ages, so we'll see! |
