Hello, I'm relatively new to this forum. I noticed that Vitamic C (Skinceuticals) have been highly recommended for skincare and have recently introduced Serum10 nad Pytho Corrective Gel into my morning routine.
Does anyone (beside me) experince breakout with this product? They are not that bad, but i notice that i have more pimples on my chin and forehead nowadays. Also, my old blemish scars seems to be a bit more obvious and red. The funny thing is that these reddish spots tend to form below the skin and not on the surface. You know how you can see veins through skin? Well, that's how i see the red spots there.
The beautician said that the VitC will bring out all the bad stuff to the surface, and i dunno if its true or if maybe my skin just cannot handle it. I will appreciate all comment and feedback on this matter.
Thanks |

My skin just cannot tolerate any vitamin c serum. Did you start both products at the same time? If so try eliminating one product and just use one for a week or two and see if your breakout decreases. If not then alternate the product. Hopefully you can find out which product breaks you out. |

Hi ParasiteEve,
I have read other posts in which people say that they do break out from vitamin C serums. This may be a permanent thing (like in the case of mtview) or just an initial phase. But, perhaps the blotchiness you are experiencing is a sign that the product is too strong for your skin. How long have you used it for now? Is there any tingling sensation?
My experience has been quite the opposite with it (luckily, because vit C is supposed to be great for skin!). I get the impression that any post acne scars actually heal faster with vit C and that my skin tone is clearer and brighter as well.

Thank you for your reply
I'm using the Serum 10, which is the lightest concentration. Its been a week since i'm using it, and the break-outs are not getting any better.
I'm begining to wonder if this is all really worth it. I might lay it off for a week and see if my face improve. But then, if the lady is right, and my face will look soo much better after 3 -4 weeks, i might have to start all over again if i stop now. |
